Hi
Like me you've maybe been hanging on for these, but I thought it worth saying what we've been offered.
On a Combi 15 package 100 mins / 100 texts 18 mth contract they were offering an N95, or Samsung Tocco.
I paid £30 up front to get an LG Renoir but again will be only £15/mth. I got 6 months internet chucked in too.
My partner ended up with a T-mobile G1 for £30 and the £20/mth for 18months which included all hs internet usage.
There was also the option of no new phone but reducing contract to £5 per month for 18 months.
And what a helpful guy I got on the phone - Stewart he was called.

Wha'd'ya think? First deal post, so please be gentle....
:-)

Thanks for the friendly welcome!

It would be helpful if you could you maybe explain why it isn't a deal or why you voted cold?

I think it is if you have a t-mobile phone and are waiting for an upgrade.

I read the instructions etc and I think it qualifies, and...

The 'newcomers advice' says "If you are cold voting a deal, it is good forum etiquette to post a note in the deal as to why you have done so. There is nothing more confusing to a new member, than to post a deal, only to see it go cold with no explanation. If you found the item cheaper elsewhere, please let us know where and how. If you have no interest or knowledge about the deal at all, please don’t vote cold, just move on. "

My T-mobile contract is also up for renewal, I normally pay £5 a month for Freetime 750 and also get a free phone. This year they want £10 a month and no free phone ! Gave them my notice and will be cancelling.
Thanks OP for the info.

Shona, it is hot from me! I am up for renewal soon so it is good to see what offers I might expect.

With the G1 tariff you got can you let me know how many mins/texts you are getting for £20. Thx

Thanks Aerotec for the vote!!! I was feeling a bit  before...

It is 100 texts, and 100 mins to go with the walk 'n' web thing. I'm beginning to wish I'd gone for the G1 instead of the Renoir... I love gadgets!!

I have the Tytn II which I love and would be happy to keep but would like a play with the G1 before selling it for £300! I need more Mins Texts though and I only pay £28 for Flext 35 with W&W so prob not get a better deal than that.

I gave an explanation, this is not a deal, this is a retention package depending on many factors.

So where would you get a better deal then?

I have to say I've never met such an unfriendly bunch!! With a few exceptions who I thank for being pleasant!

You need to have a bit of a thick skin on here, people are not having a go at you, they are having a go at the deal. Honestly don't take it personally, chill out a little and keep on posting deals!

I will be your friend :friends:

Why? You can upgrade for £15 per month on T-mobile - how is that different to you can buy a new contract as is posted on here daily/weekly? I do think (overheads permitting) extra user level options to exclude things like grocery offers would help keep things civil on here. Perhaps speciific retailer filters would be good (i.e. Tesco haters could block them, I could block Morrisons as none in NI).

There are people who will vote cold for no reason and no explanation; ignore them. For T-Mobile customers coming to the end of their contract, it's a good deal, so thanks for the info.

Oh, and a belated welcome to HUKD
