CHEAPEST EVER, rebranded ZTE Crescent/Orange San Francisco II, with huge developers' support, easy to unlock. I paid 99 for mine and my wife is happy with it... Quidco paid after 3 months (£20 on that occasion).

Quidco is £10 not £20 (for PAYG Handsets worth £20-£59.99)
- haq

-To haq - I received £20 when paid £99 in Jan 12 :)

Quidco is £20 not £10 (it shouldn't be, technically haq is right, but £20 tracked on mine!)
- Rubisco

Quidco could track at £20 but could change to £10 when your not looking.
My advice: Don't hold your breath.

As of August Quidco / TCB now tracking @ £10

ok ive had the phone for about 12 months , so will give my personal review

pro+
good looking phone simple and due to its silver strip alot thought i had a iphone 4
screen resolution is more than excellent and good size 3.5 inch
runs just about all apps and games i have tried
cheap to unlock , i risked it and did it for free myself
everything on the phone works ie wifi/sat nav/app store/
speed wise its ok but not up there with the best 800mhz processor arm6
love the tether option works excellent
will work with orange swappables if you know how to, i get sky sports1 2 3 4 on mine

against -
touch screen is not very accurate and can be a pain to text constantly missing the wrong button, but you do get better with practice
battery will only last a day with a lot of use ( but thats common with most android phones )
touch sensitive buttons dont always light up in dark so your guessing which of the 4 buttons you are pressing
doesnt support flash due to being arm6 processor so im told. DOES NOW WORK
have tried some top games like gta not really upto it too laggy (its only a budget phone after all)

end of the day best £50 phone out there by a long way only other phone i might be tempted with is the g300 but thats £100 so cant compare really, other phones in the house i have to compare with this are sanfrancisco 1, samsung galaxy y , lg optimus one, samsung galaxy europa and this vivacity is better than all these ,

Is it just me or does this look a LOT like an iPhone 4? I guess apple didn't think this was worth getting blocked so they went after the tablets and SGS line with the patent suits.

Apple don't care about patents or people copying them, they just want to kill viable competition and innovation.

The specs are same as sanfrancisco, it is cheaper than sanfrancisco, if so why is not getting hotter?.

sanfrancisco deal went to 704 degrees ->http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/sanfrancisco-2-with-20-credit-84-99-argos-1265140

Quite frankly any armv6 device these days is not worth buying, unless the price is something ridiculous like 20 quid.

Yes I am serious and I was not saying that. I said there was no point buying a armv6 device now as both android 4.0 and 4.1 do not natively support that instruction set, if you've currently got a armv6 device going strong, then keep it, definitely!

Edit: Can we get £10 cashback from Quidco as well as £10 from TCB?

no its either quidco or tcb not both , i still think this will get very hot when ppl relise this is a sanfrancisco 2 clone for £50 and you wont find a better phone around that price , and whats up with gingerbread anyway does everything i want it to , got ics on my tablet and cant see what all the fuss is about, believe it or not not everyone as the cash to have the very latest upto date phone and have to make do with last years model , this is last years model at a very good price, its not a s3 but as good as my brothers samsung ace and that was like more than double price of this phone.
I can afford any phone i want but my choice is i dont want to carry a £400 / £500 phone around due to greater risk of theft and risk of losing it , but thats my choice this phone as done everything i have ever wantted it to do and i prefer it to my mates iphone 3 .

you get orange swappables on orange panther contract, you have options of book club/music club/tv chanels/ sky sports channels things like that , i choose sky sports swappable , so i get sky sports 1 2 3 4 and espn and a few other sport channels on my phone for free and can view as much as i like on wifi or 3g at no extra cost, data usage for this service is unlimited and does not come out of your normal internet allowance.

Anyone know if this is the instore price too?

i love the iphone and macs there very nice machines nice hardware and very nice operating system , the only reason i wont have a apple device is cost, that is the initial outlay and then the constant costs for software and apps, ( yes i know there 1000's of free apps but the apps my mate wants for is iphone 3 always seam to cost him, and whats apples take on bluetooth why cant me and my mates phone connect so i can send him some free music , mmmm is it me or is it apple wantting money for everything you do, Google android on the other hand seams a bit rougher round the edges but seams free and easy to do more for nothing.
Girl at work asked me other day how to get to somewhere in her car i said well just use your sat nav , she answered my sat nav is at home , so i said well use the one on your iphone 4s , she ansered it doesnt have sat nav software on it , WHAT £400 and it dont come with free sat nav software wtf , is this true or as she got it wrong .

I have been working in ZTE headquaters in Shenzhen 1 year ago. Would not recommend anyone to buy products from this company.
All computers they use were equipped with Windows XP at that time. The senior staffs there don't even use their own products. They use iPhones instead.

In terms of this one, it doesn't look like Crescent / San Francisco II. Don't know if it has same specs and hardware. If not, the developers' support could be a problem. Haven't found any info about the cpu but I don't think it can be better than 1GHz single core. So it's rubbish for me.

vivacity is the same spec as the sanfrancisco 2 , it as a 800mhz processor and does the job, what you want for £50 , i do a lot of work in banking call centres and they still run windows 2000 pc's what difference does it make, do you think that everyone that works for ferrari drives a ferrari , does that make the product poor , answer is no as nothing to do with it does it, yes most exec's have blackberries or iphones again so what .

yes this is the biggest problem with the phone , not so much as sensitivity , mine is super sensitive its more on the not very accurate, i did flash mine with another rom so that might have improved it some but took me a while to get used to it.

very good deal for the money. bought one of these for about 65 quid on ebay last month and have absolutely no cause to regret it.

performance seems to be about on a par with the old HTC Desire, perhaps a little better - though build quality is not up to that standard.

it is easy (comparatively) to hack, root and mod, and there is decent 3rd party ROM support for this phone.

battery life is a little variable.

I got this as an MP3 player with GPS built in, to track when I go running. (Didn't want to use my main phone for this.)

Have ended up using it a lot more than I planned, though it's currently with my wife, as her One X has given up the ghost.

unless I'm mistaken 99% of phones regardless of price don't come with free sat nav program, only google maps(which wouldn't be on iphones from now on from what I gather).

Free to unlock?

Is the top-up transferrable to another sim? I'm thinking of buying a 12 month internet one off eBay, would prefer to stick the credit on that if I can.

Also, quidco says I have to keep the sim active for 3 months, is it enough to just stick it in an old dumbphone doing nowt?

for £50 (after cashback) I'm ordering one for the wife - will the £10 top up be locked to that phone?

The only downside of having this phone is that there's hardly any accessories for it case, covers etc.

Looks like iphone 4 probably better than iphone 4s

White one ordered for the missus, might join her and get one in black for myself. :)

What is the best and most stable custom rom to use on this how do we make it run smooth. Please provide links etc for everyone thanks.

This credit will be on your simcard you will get. You can go for those £0.99 sims off ebay with £5 credit and buy internet bundle which is also £5..

Yes it does look like an iphone 4 and NO it is not better than an iphone 4s.
Stop winding us up and grow up.

Just to turn the tables around:

Android can be customised to the max and new and wonderful things are being added to them everyday
we are not limited to having an specified charger that we have to carry about with us all the time and we are not brainwashed into thinking we have something 'superior than others'.

"Haha, Yees but is it an iphone?" is some little rat/ school kid would say (whilst wearing something totally chav-ey and overly expensive that i wouldn't wear even if they paid me)

Your stuck with apple os (with a failed blootooth) whereas I, my friend, have a whole plethora of choices how i want my os to be.
