Samsung Galaxy S4 - Black - Sim Free £374.99 @ Amazon (Sold by T setter)

Good price for the S4. Perhaps this is due to the S5 being on the horizon. Other sellers are offering slightly lower prices but with limited stock.

Why exactly is this better than a nexus 5? The screen is shocking of this for a flagship phone.

£200 even more rrp difference for starters and at least another 20 reasons as to why !

Better than a Nexus 5, i should hope it is its a £100 more than i paid for mine and when you read the specs its no better at all they are the same apart from being water resistant and a better camera but i personally would much rather have a proper Google device with latest updates on release. Sony have a bad habit of taking months to update their handsets and thats if they bother. I personally dont think those things make it worth £100 more, maybe £30 but no more the days of Sony ruling the electronics world are long gone.

so this doesn't have WiFi?

I guess not but wifi receiver or network adapters could be used like this

Thanks!
As I've written before, this is not the fastest card available for the money, and I personally do not think Sandisk quality is comparable to Samsung and Lexar. I do not think this card is suitable for Gopro Hero.

Personally, I just got the Komputerbay card on Amazon for £35. Apparently, the 7dayshop own card is well regarded.

From the Sandisk website:
Performance/speed: Up to 30MB/s read speed; write speed lower

The Komputerbay one claims the following:
Transfer Speed: Up to 70 MB/s Read and up to 20 MB/s Write (When tested with USB 3.0 card reader)
(I'm convinced this is a rebadged Samsung card)

7dayshop card shows speed data:
Up to 46MB/s read speed, up to 21MB/s write speed

a lot of mixed reviews about compatibility with the galaxy range, I've decided to spend an extra £4 and get the 80mb/s read speed - Samsung micro SDXC

it works with galaxy note 10.1, note 2/3 and galaxy s4
Note that the Micro SD XC type cards work differently to the Micro SD and so you have to be sure your device supports XD. If it's more than 5 months old, more likely it won't. Even if it's new it may not.
Also, I have also had one of these fail in a Samsung Tab within 2 weeks. Seems to be fairly well documented in various sites.
Fulfilled by amazon, from the reviews I've seen, is no promise of getting 'the real deal'. Probably better going elsewhere. I'd still be a bit wary of going from amazon directly

Don't ever buy electronics from dealers via Amazon! Six months down the road, if the machine breaks down and the dealer ceases trading, you won't see a penny of the money!

I received one of these as a replacement for my broken huawei g300 on my insurance plan. Got to be honest and say I am not all that impressed with it. It is ok but have noticed no significant improvement over the g300!...screen is worse, no led notification, no light sensor, battery gives worse performance, buttons catch so easily it unlocks in my pocket and does it own thing...it's ok for a virtual freebie but so glad I didn't spend £200 on it... In fact I am thinking of selling it to have the huawei p1...im not a fan boy, far from it, just would rather have practicality and performance in a phone and go forward rather than backwards!
Also £199 at Asda Sim Free

Nexus 4 seems better value at under £300 direct from Google.
nexus isnt as comfy to use in the hand and also the s3 is better for the average joe because of the tocuhwizz interface...

plus s3 has a micro sd slot

its not all about money and specs

I tried both and prefer the N4, don't care about SD card. But it's all personal pref.

In any case, I won't be paying more than £400 for a phone again!

exactly you need to try.... then you know its not all about the specs on the paper

If you don't care for replaceable battery and expandable storage the Nexus 4 is the best bet as it will receive at least the next 2 Android versions, where as the Galaxy will lack and fall behind in terms of software. The battery is not bad at all on the N4 and lack of expandable storage doesn't bother me but may be required by others.

But still a good deal for one of the hottest phones of 2012 and a great price for this S3.

I just got (Saturday) a retentions deal on Talkmobile with this for net* of £13.75 pm (24 months) including 275m/5000t/350mb - so unless you have a really good contract, buying it sim free for £230 is expensive.

asda direct selling it for £375 with free click and collect.
It is interesting that all I have had since posting this deal is COLD votes and advice that the price is too much but no one has offered a better deal !!! Secondly, waiting for a price drop is not always an option and as with any other technological product you can always buy cheaper if you can wait a while!!!
jeds
If you wait a few weeks the S4 will be out and the S3's will be dropping in price.

It won't be dropping a lot. Look at Galaxy S2,priced dropped, but just a fraction after S3 release. But £395 for S3 far too much, unless it is LTE version.

Just seen a TV ad for the S3 mini.
Says its just a mini version of the S3.

Shocking. They should get done for that.
Don't think my mum likes the Nexus 4. Too big and I am beginning to concur.
Yeah i guess was hoping for sonething but seems little point in spending more than san Diego unless u make the big jump in price.

So what is a good phone around£200, not including the nexus 4 8gb? There seems to be a gap between the orange san Diego at 110 and the nexus 4. The Sony and prada deal at 150 have gone....

There really isn't much out there.

The only phones I'd go for are the high end ones. Though the San Diego is suppose to be fast, it is locked down to Orange and branded as such.
The Huawei G330 will be out soon so could be good to wait for that if you're on a tight budget.

Though I'd choose one of the following if you're looking for a device that will last some time before being outdated: Nexus 4 16GB, One X, S3 or Note 2.

It's a Mac Mini FFS! Dam apple haters!!!!! :{ Aha don't worry i'm not really angry just a joke like the reason for you voting cold on this. :D Why vote on a product by a brand you obviously don't care for? I think you should consider others as you vote on a deal to weather or not this is good for someone who has an interest in the product. If you hate a brand/manufacturer your vote is invaluable/ not needed. In future if you hate the manufacturer or products by the one mentioned in the deal stay the hell away from it and don't vote unless you are willing to take into account others. X)
