It puzzles me?, for all you lot banging on about 'Retina this', &/or 'Retina that'?, are you lot not actually aware that the Term 'Retina' (as in 'Retina Display'?) is an 'APPLE Branded Terminology'?, for their (Apple's) 'Stuffs'?, eg. iMacs, Mac Books, &/or Apple's other 'iDevices'?, or ..... & unless I'm sadly mistaken .. ANY 'Android-enabled' Device, (regardless of how fancy it may or may not be) .. is NOT an 'Apple Product'? ('Android' belongs to the stable of Google?), so .....

I hope this clears things up a bit for some?. :-)

Hot by the way.

Ps.
This is NOW £92.99 on Amazon .. DOH!! (ahhhhhhhhhhhhh well?) lol.
It looks good.. slim..

I will think about it.(_;)

Received next day and was given a 1 hour delivery slot, which was great.
Really pleased with Tablet. Wife has an iPad air which I can compare against. Obviously the build quality isn't as good but it's a quarter of the price. is running the latest KitKat so is bang up to date. The screen is perfectly adequate for me and is fast and responsive. The only negative I'll say is the camera is only 2mp and the sound is a bit quiet.
It comes with a HDMI converter. Thanks for posting
At last someone has commented with fact not conjecture, well done.

I'm still tempted by this - anyone else buy it and post a wee review? ?

anyone got one, how long is the battery life, and stand by time on it
does bt sports app, show footy matches full screen on it and does the hdmi work ok for it ?
I've just answered a question about battery life on Amazon - I assume it was from you? Overall, I'm extremely pleased with all aspects of this tablet, and its wi-fi range is very good indeed, picking up a signal where more expensive devices do not. I'm afraid that I cannot answer your query about BT Sports app, as I do not have a subscription.

HDMI works perfectly, and I can get it completely borderless on my Panny plasma using the aspect ratio settings.

Yes, it was £10 cheaper at launch, but it's still a bargain at this price, in my view.

It was no good, and wasn't a new one they sent me as a replacement. Disappointed really...Any suggestions on another one to try ?
Had a text to say I've got another parcel due tomorrow. Hope it's the new Tab

Now I'm confused :| I didn't want a Playbook because it's too small. I like ipad mini's size and thought this Tabtronics was similar, but it fits a Playbook case? :S

No, you're not mistaken. Whilst they have different widths, the length of the various tablets is very similar, thus the cases tend to fit well. The BB envelope case with magnetic clasp is a particularly good example.

I shall be dropping Tabtronics an email to request that they post the stock ROM and flash tool on their Tech Support pages, in case the appearance of clones results in any custom ROMs being developed - I'm not holding my breath, though.

Still stalling on it ! I'm dreadful..Don't want to spend more than £100 but looking on Amazon there are a few other candidates out there in this section of this size..Decisions decisions...Give me one more reason to above the others on there..Please !!
Thanks

If you're still undecided after all the feedback, then I probably shouldn't be trying to persuade you ;-)

However, to get a good idea of one, see if your local large Carphone Warehouse has an Archos 80 Titanium in stock. I toyed with the idea of buying one when they were first released. They are only dual core, quite a bit thicker, and don't have such a vibrant screen, i.i.r.c. - yet you'll not find one available for less than this Tabtronics.

Because there is no way of trying this before buying, I'd personally feel morally (as well as legally) empowered to return it under Distance Selling regulations if I were not happy with it. I think Amazon would be the best source, but check their DSR T&Cs.

Incidentally, for anyone looking for a case which fits well, I can recommend BlackBerry playbook leather slip or envelope cases. These have been available in Currys for just a few quid until recently, and they are cheap on t'Bay too.

samsung exynos 4412 quadcore 1.6ghz cpu
2gb ram
5mp camera
and is only £100

surely Samsung/nook better bets simply because of support/quality/battery life?

im not sure about this one but usually Chinese unbranded tablets are more likely to be pure android and running the latest
on the contrary samsung is very slow to update the tablets / phones
i have my note 2 since a year still waiting for an update
my samsung tab 8.9 took more than 16 months to receive ICS and became usable
i will still buy samsung stuff but updates are terrible

3500mah seems like decent battery IMO for a 7"

Tabtronics seem to only market half a dozen or so models at any one time which I would assume are the current best of the crop of popular tried and tested Chinese tablets. This would make sense as they are UK based and tend to provide English tailored firmwares for their range of tablets. I had a Tabtronics Quantum7 (dual core RK3066) last year and it was a nice quick all-rounder. The one here seems like a good way to spend £85 which is only a fiver more than the Quantum7 cost me last year. Nice find.

Wow, sounds completely different to mine. I posted a review on Amazon. There weren't many but there was one that also reported the exact same viewing angle problem.
chandlerweb
Got mine today, bought for my son. Performance is good for the price but the screen is dreadful. It's sharp enough but the viewing angles are so bad you can't even look at it square on without part of the screens display being obscured. Not too noticeable with videos but it's really distracting when trying to use the keyboard.

I got mine yesterday and have good screen view tilting almost side on.....is the screen ok - i wonder if its broken or something? When I tilt my tablet upwards or downwards quite a way the screen inverts colours but Im talking a long and unnatural way here

If its not for a gift i would go for the the B-grade Quantum 7+ which is only £52.99 on their website and will be much faster. Screen resolution and memory is the same ( and battery is a bit better).
HERE

Isn't going for a B grade in something like tablets (from less than say, Samsung/Nexus/Apple) a bit dodgy? I ask because quality control on tablets doesn't seem that great in the first place.
I bought the quantum7 for my daughter, for christmas, last year. it hasnt lasted 12 months and is currently with tabtronics for repair. we had to be very precise with the positioning of the tablet and charger wire for it to charge. then it got to a point where it would only charge to about 60ish % if we were lucky. then it kept freezing up and switching itself off. all this with minimal usage. tabtronics customer service is good and the new quantum may be a lot better.....

Nexus 7 Argos outlet is the same price, why would anyone bother ?
According to a survey, most Britons did not know the difference between 7 and 10. And even fewer know the difference between 7 and 10 in length when expressed in area is 100% increase.

The sumvision looks good spec for the price
No mention of whether the screen is IPS or not.

Sumvision Cyclone Voyager with IPS screen for £125:

Or a UK sourced Pipo M1 with IPS screen for £136:

so no warmth from me I'm afraid... :)
