Been looking at getting this for a while now and just found this price on Currys. There is a v3 out now but the only difference is the internet bridge which enables Apple Homekit support. Read More

I'm not sure. I guess from the price that it was the v2. I am getting it delivered tomorrow so will be able to say then.

I think it is similar, but works slightly differently. Rather than 'sensing' your presence, as the Nest does, Tado uses a mobile app to see where you are. When you are on your way home it begins to heat up your house so it is warm when you get there.

Pretty much everything else is the same as Nest. Although to be fair it doesn't look as nice as a Nest. It does have the option to add TRV's to the system that you can control from an app - which I don't think you can do with Nest. Also Tado is battery operated making it easier to move around the house if needed.

Thanks, I also saw on the tado website that they offer a 'very special price' for owners of v2 to update the bridge

I spoke to them about this earlier before I ordered £39.99 for the upgrade.

the one I got was£129 but no installation. was very easy to install all I did was take a picture of my boiler and thermostat and sent to them via their help desk . they sent step by step pictures of where to put the wires. excellent support

Is it worth getting a v2 with the upgrade bridge or holding out to see if Tado do a Black Friday deal? I need two as have two heating zones and also want a couple of radiator thermostats from them also

Just installed this last week. Impressed so far. I have two zones and can control independently via app. Also can be controlled from wall unit. Shows some useful/interesting metrics via the regarding temp, boiler on, sunlight and presence.

Need to adopt a different mentality when setting program. You set the temperature you want and the time you want it to be that temp and Tado will use outside temp via online weather forecast and previous experience of warming house/zones to make sure house that temp for that time.

I have extension kit to control hot water too.

I have a rental agreement which I'm sure is more than this and won't own the gear so looks like a good deal.

And I installed myself. Experience was sub-optimal so free install is a boon to this deal too.

the v2 is £109 on their website and the v3 is £199, it is easy to fit yourself, so go for v2, the only difference between the two is the bridge which the v3 is for the apple, other than that they are the same.

I just went on the currys online chat and was told its a v3.

They also have the stat and bridge without the extension kit for £129.98

Isn't the £109 one just a smart stat without the bridge (as an addon)?
