Sorry if this has already been posted, I did search but didnt see!

Just received an email off Jet2.com saying that if you book a flight for Spain or Portugal between May and October 2010, you can take a bag free with an allowance of 22KG!
Just enter the promo code 'FREEBAG' in the box that asks if you have a promo code.
Save £19.98 per bag.. I think its one bag per booking, so just book separately to get your free bag and queue together or pre book your seats together if you were doing that anyway. Worth a try!

Terms and Conditions

*One free hold bag is available per booking for the lead passenger on bookings within a limited period on Jet2.com flights only purchases. Jet2.com reserve the right to withdraw the offer at anytime. To claim the free bag enter the promotion code 'FREEBAG' when prompted at the Checkout. Canary Island and Madeira flights not included. This promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer and is subject to availability. Excess baggage charges apply over 22kgs. Check-in charges still apply. Internet Sales only.

The Free bag offer is available from midnight 14th September for a limited period from all Jet2.com UK airport bases to Alicante, Barcelona, Ibiza, Malaga, Mahon, Palma, Murcia, Valencia & Faro.

COLD - you are only allowed to put one child in each bag even if together they weight less than the single 22kg bag

Huh?? True but why the cold vote??:?

£19.98 per bag !!

All depends on flight costs whether this is a deal or not. Website is pretty pants.

is it not true that this company is/or is about to go bust?

Didn't think so, they seem to be expanding all the time.

hope not, fly out to Majorca with them tomorrow morning :)

"so just book separately to get your free bag and queue together or pre book your seats together if you were doing that anyway. Worth a try"

You can guarentee that if you try and book each person seperately, when you get to the last person the flight will be fully booked.

Surely you could just do a search for the max of 9 people and if shows available then book them individually fairly sharpish.

"Free baggage" OMG, baggage has always been free for as long as I can remember. How do they get away with it. What next "shop at Tesco half-price entry!!!"

How about "Save 30% off shoelaces when you buy any shoes at Clarks"

watch out if you want to sit together - when you check-in online (at a cost) or at the airport (even greater cost) you are given reserved seat numbers. There is no free seating. Their system automatically splits up groups all over the aircraft even if there are plenty seats available. If you want to sit together you have to pay an eye-watering 7.00GBP per person per leg of the journey. So for a family of 4 that's an extra 56 quid. I don't like the cynical way they deliberately split families up on the flight then force them to pay to sit together so I do not intend to fly with them again.

I agree, they do sometimes do that. Thats why I say split the bookings, as if there are 2 adults and 2 children, then they wont split a child from an adult, so as long as dad sits with one child and mum with the other, it doesnt really matter if for a couple of hours you are all not together surely? You have plenty of time together when you arrive on holiday.

LOL
But as these bags go in the hold, each child will need a space suit to survive the flight!!:whistling:
