Oh well! I'll just have to be happy with my Row Z tickets on Thursday night (making sure I take binoculars!)

Just booked 4 for a friend on Friday. Seem to be really good seats - block 2 (which seems to be right next to the stage). Also good is the fact that to get the tickets you need to present the card used to book the tickets so that will stop Ebayers.... but it does mean I have to trust my friend with my card!

No they're not...

Block 2, 4 and 16 have been released in huge amounts since yesterday through all major ticket sites. Perhaps they were held back to make sure they go to genuine fans.

Well I can't see any on TicketMaster.... so maybe they sold all of theirs out. I just hope my friend will be able to pick up the tickets okay just with my credit card. I can't see them doing more checks than that.

I know what you are saying, but this will only stop touts who are not within reasonable driving distance of Brum, surely? Nothing elso you can do, though. I do think it's a good idea.

when i allowed my mum to go and collect tickets in my name before and using my credit card i had to send her with a note (why i dont know as my mum could of forged it) but the note just said i allow her to collect the tickets and then had to sign the letter (so i spose they check the signature matches)

i reckon as long as they have your card.... the only receipt your friend will sign is to say collected,,
i would do a letter of authorisation stating tickets will be collected by whoever incl address and they will provide there id and will have your c/card as well

you wont have a problem

I had to pick tickets up from NEC last year (bloody seetickets!) and whether it depends on the CS agent you get or not I don't know, but she scrutinised my signature compared to my card like her life depended on it. Unless you are a great forger, I think it may be best if the proper person turns up to collect the tix. Just a thought.

Dont think so , touts got most of the tickets when they were released , true fans have already paid £200 a ticket.
BTW I wonder how many "true fans" who did get tickets accidentaly purchased a couple extra to sell on ebay :whistling:
Box office collection is only because of the time frame

It's a 120 mile each way trip for me to get to the box office.... so I don't fancy that. My friend was working and couldn't get to an internet and I was concerned the tickets would sell out (in fact there appear to be no blocks of 4 seats together left now on the Friday). I've done a letter of authorisation so he can choose whether to use that or copy my signature.... as long as I get his money!

EDIT : Just rang SeeTickets and they said I just needed a letter of authorisation stating my name, his name, the last 4 digits of my card, reference number and sign it... so don't even need to give him my card. Thanks for the advice everyone!

Thanks for let us know about this.
I managed to get 2 tickets as a late birthday present for the wife. Can't say I'm a massive fan of the guys, but as the place is going to be packed to the rafters with women I'm sure I'll survive ;-)
Anyone know if there is any restrictions on taking cameras?
