In what way is this a good film?
If it was made 20 even 30 years ago, granted, it would have been exciting. Or may be if you have never seen an "action" film (Bond, Bourne, Segal et al) then maybe just maybe the tired and clichéd storyline could entertain you.

Haven't seen it yet but trailer looks good and it has an average of nearly 5 stars by play.coms reviews. Can't be that bad.

I just saw it 2 days ago. The storyline is a bit of a stretch at some parts of the movie but it is action filled and kept me entertained. I rented it because of its good user reviews and wasn't disappointed.

Awesome movie, one of the best movies of last year. Just bought this as a present from Tesco in Bolton (by the Reebok Stadium) for £7 instore. Also, £7 in Wigan Tesco (was looking for the Acer AO deal with no luck)

brilliant film...my favourite of last year (even preffered it to the excellent dark knight)...one of my all time favourite films and i watch alot of films (1-3 a week)

good if slightly unorginal plot, good direction (has a ronin feel to it) and good acting, excellent stunts and seemingly no cgi in sight...neilsen is excellent

what extra bits are in this version of the film ?

maybe you are tired...yes its unorginal but its a film..maybe you should stick to fantasy films in lala land...this isnt an intellectual film its an action film...switch off brain and watch

Wow people seem to really like this film - I didn't like it at all, but each to their own I suppose!

I love action films but found this one very predictable and thought the acting was particularly poor.

Not really much of an accolade seeing as Quantum Of Solace was complete tripe!!! But yes this film is awesome, the only thing that spoils it is his daughter acting as though she is 10 years old...you'll understand ;)

this is also £6.99 instore at sainsburys if anyone wants to watch it quicker.

I agree - I thought it was pretty poor 5/10 at best. Just replaces Arabs for the Communists as the bad guys in so many older films.

Liam Neeson, hammy as ever.
#21
I am also amazed that so many people like this film. I thought the story was rubbish and the acting was pretty poor. For action I would prefer watching 24 over this any day!
#22
I enjoyed this. Predictable and done many times before, but enjoyable.
#23
Slight possible minor spoiler below...

When you get to the end, ask yourself, "Who is driving the boat?"

I thought this film was great. First watched it with a free ticket that I got via a post on this site and then bought it as soon as it came out on dvd.

Quantum of Solace was just one long advert.

Good film - worth watching - good suspense.

I've not seen the film yet, but I've never seen a bad liam neeson film, but can some one explain to me what quidco is. Sorry if this seems like a dim question.
Thanks Furny

http://www.quidco.com/

When making a purchase, go the Quidco's website and find the sellers link in the merchants list. Click to be redirected there from Quidco. The merchants have an agreement with Quidco for discounts and cashback offers which are paid to you instead of an advertising agency or media advertiser. Quidco take a small fee from your annual earnings, which are paid into a nominated bank account annually. Smaller purchases might only recoup you a few pence, but over a whole year it all adds up if you remember to go via Quidco for all your online purchases, and there are some larger incentives (£30+) for some financial products such as insurance, although Swiftcover diddled me out of my £65 last year so won't be getting my business this year even if they are cheapest and offer the biggest rewards !
