Four tales from the Neverending Story fantasy franchise. Bastian Balthazar Bux (Mark Rendall) is an average twelve year old boy whose life revolves around going to school, watching TV and playing video games. That is until he discovers a magical book, `The Neverending Story' in a fascinating curiosity shop owned by the mysterious Carl Coreander (John Dunn Hill). Bastian's imagination is inspired by the book's tale of an enchanted world called Fantasia; a world ruled by the Childlike Empress (Audrey Gardiner) and inhabited by an assortment of heroes, villains, dark knights, centaurs, werewolves and other strange mythical creatures. Sadly, Fantasia is being destroyed by a terrible evil force known as The Nothing. As Bastian gets deeper into the book his actions in the real world begin to affect events in Fantasia. Soon he finds himself thrust into the fantasy world in the form of his alter ego, Atreyu (Tyler Hynes), a fourteen-year old woodland boy and an unlikely hero who may be able to find a cure for The Nothing and save Fantasia.

Good price but this isn't the original movies incase anyone gets confused, This is the TV series that was made much later.
Awful. Utterly unwatchable, laughable, badly acted, poorly scripted no-budget garbage.

Why producers insist on raping the neverending story I don't know. They really should just do what should've been done from the beginning. Read the book.

The movies and series are so far removed from the actual plot, you're left wondering what Michael Ende was doing when he allowed the studios the rights.

The original movie, will always be part of my childhood, but its sequels and this series should be avoided like conversation after a one-night-stand with a fat chick.

I wouldn't take these dvds for 50p.

I don't think kids really bother about the acting, scripts and budgets, Have you seen the state of kids TV recently?? Might not be ideal for older children but I think it would keep most primary school children happy.

I loved the films, anyone seen any offers on them as I think id rather buy the films than these, thanks
The original movie was never released on DVD here :( you need to buy a dutch copy (it's english as well).

I think the two sequels are available in a boxset too.
Or Region 1 NTSC (I got the films this way) - which can be very cheap.
