£3.16 @ telltalegames
At this price, you'd be crazy not to jump at the chance... If you think this is cold, please post your reason... Can't understand why people would think this isn't a good deal...

Brilliant find! This is only on for this weekend as Sunday is 'International Talk Like a Pirate Day'. It does say that you can order the DVD with all the episodes on once you've made the purchase, all you do is go back into the store, select the Standard DVD option and it can be delivered for $7.87.

Is this the price for a download or CD/DVD delivered home?
Are these the good old Monkey Island games or is this something new?
Sorry, am confused...

These are download and are new games

Yep they are new Monkey island stories, developed by Telltale Games as Lucasarts decided to make crap Star Wars games for the last 10 years.

Buy the Digital Download for $4.95 then you can select the Standard DVD to be delivered for $7.97 if you want a hard copy.

Great deal either way you do it especially as you cannot buy this in the shops.

Superb deal - even if the games are a disappointment, at £3.25 it's a hot deal. Heat added.

Thanks. Bought this off steam for my sister recently then got jealous of her playing it.

Top price and the game's great too, wish they'd put it on XBLA
#9
Awesome price! I can play it on my Mac and PC :)

It has a good review on The Guardian: http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/gamesblog/2009/jul/07/games-pc They quote the price as $34.95 so this does sound a bargain.
#11
Great price, voted HOT & ordered!

Superb games, and at this price you would be a fool not to at least try them. And the originals can be had on ScummVM too!

edit: hahaha i didn't look at the thumbnail until now, is that some Elaine cheesecake? Genius!

I think their website has gone down.

I can't decide whether to download it onto my PC, laptop or netbook! So it is possible to buy the installation DVD for $7.97 delivered to a UK address, right?
#14
its working now....purchased it but cant see how you can change it to a dvd version
#15
If you add the download version, then add the dvd version, the dvd version also comes to $4.95. Then you can take the download version out and the dvd version is still $4.95. The postage for the dvd version is $6.87 though which means the whole thing is $11.82, about £7.50. I wish it was the same price on PS3, I want trophies :p

I have the first one from steam a few months ago, are these new to that one or is the first one in there also?

I was going to buy Monkey Island 2 from steam at the reduced weekend price but if it is included in this deal I will just get this one?

Thanks for the reply Puppet
When I log on to my account I just get the info below but none of the links seem to show a download link? I'm wondering if they think I have downloaded it already .... the site crashed just after paying for this. Can anyone confirm that the download link remains after you have downloaded the file. Cheers

This was a really fun game. Nowhere near the incredible level of writing of the first 2 games, but I'd argue better than the third and fourth games! If you have an iPhone you can catch up on the first 2 games for 59p at the moment, but it's not necessary, you'll just get a lot more of the in-jokes.

NO! This is NOT the old games. This is the new 5 part episode based Monkey Island game. It's got good reviews and this is good value. Voted hot.
#28
Excellent - thanks OP. Bought the updated versions of the first two from Steam yesterday for £5.24 and now the new one for £3.20! Brilliant.
#29
Dregan, have you been stalking me??
#30
Oh, **** you Telltale. I paid twenty quid for this when it first came out. If there's a second season I'm going to hold off buying it until it's dirt cheap.

What size is the download?

I cant find the disc version on the website. Seems only to have the download version which I'm wary of as I don't know if Telltale have DRM restrictions.

Any help?

Bloody shipping address! Why when we live in England are we constantly clumped with the surrounding countries. Its usually United Kingdom, which is sometimes at the "U" section but catches you out sometimes by sitting at the top with United States before the Albanias etc. Then theres the red herring of Great Britain. It should just be England!

I don't know if you are interested but in case you are, here is a tip for these annoying drop-down boxes. Generally if you type the thing you are looking for it jumps to it. I typed "united k" and was confused momentarily when that didn't work. So I typed "great" and it jumped to Great Britain.

can u link this to ur steam account?

I am but sometimes that doesn't work on certain sites. So I'll be typing United K....and the webpage will be jumping all over the place. Worse still when I press delete and the page goes back.

I just signed up to Steam for the Monkey Island 1 & 2 (I'm avin a proper Monkeygasm) and Steam have us down as being United Kingdomers.
