Talking Heads Remasters (CD+DVD-A) £5.95 Each

Astounding price on three of the recent Talking Heads remasters. Each contains the 2006 remastered CD plus a DVD containing both high-res DVD-Audio stereo and 5.1 mixes, plus a 5.1 Dolby Digital mix for those without high-res equipment.

I already own two of these and they sound like they were recorded just yesterday. The surround sound mixes are also extremely well produced.

Up to 10% Quidco is available, so potentially £5.35 each

Excellent!!

One of my favourite bands of all time.

Have them all on vinyl and cd.

Another record company rip-off, but at this price I will not complain.

They will probably release them all again in a box set.

Ah well, a must buy for me.

Nice to see some truly great music posted here.

Was getting tired of all the electronic & DVDs.

Voted hot & rep given.

They did release a boxset called 'Brick'. It's fairly pricey though.
The 96/24 surround mixes sound brilliant YellowDog. Glad to see someone else appreciates Talking Heads too - Fave song (or at least fave album) if you were forced to give an answer?

Edit:At the Surround Music Awards the American Dual-Discs actually won: Best of Show, Best Dual-Disc Release, Best Menu Design.

Awesome band: Forget Take That, if ever there should be a reunion it'd be this one!

Great find. Best track is so difficult: depends on mood. The obvious ones will always be up there: Psycho Killer, Once in a Lifetime etc., but Naive Melody must be up there. Prefer the older stuff that's on offer here to the more commercial mid 80s.

Oh I'm drifting back into my youth... let me get the vinyl out and listen in glorious Scratch 4.9! :giggle:

Have to agree asinover, Naive Melody is probably my favourite song (I honestly wasn't expecting anyone to mention that track :))
I always have to watch the credits to Wall Street thanks to that song.

LOL: you too? MY other half knows better than to press 'stop' before the screen's blank!

Shame the ravages of time mean my oversized suit now fits me! :)

I guess Once in a Lifetime was when I got hooked.

But the first side of Remain in Light blew me away.

"Birmingham, a small city, dark, dark in the daytime, people sleep, sleep in the daytime - if they want to, if they want to!"

and

"whats that over there? a dry ice factory! good place to get some thinking done"

You just cant beat their early stuff, some of the greatest pieces of music ever IMHO.

I used to work as a handyman in a large old peoples home near Newquay when I left school and the other trainee there Paul and myself tried for a long time to only talk to each other in Talking Heads lyrics... what an influential band.

My favourite from that era has to be "drugs" - just a plain weird song, but brilliant. "it will be over in a minute or two..." - quality!
