Which phone number did you ring?
Which department did you speak to?
Do you have a link to the EE deal?

Watch your broadband speed after you've renewed. Mine is at a paltry 6.7 meg, even though the line is capable of 17 meg and that's what I used to get with Talk Talk before I renewed. They're cutting everyone back to make more bandwidth for the TV packages they're touting.

Use Customer service 0870 444 1820. It was Customer Loyalty department. The EE deal is only evening and weekend calls for £2.50 p/m

Thanks for that

I spoke to the Customer Loyalty department and they refused to reduce the advanced line rental to £32. I then spoke to a manager who also refused to reduce it to £32.

I want to leave them as they keep banging on about rewarding my loyalty as been with them for 4 yrs, but only offered £32 line rental after paying upfront for yr. Not worth it. Will try again or cancel

DONT use it, you will have bad year for whole contract, which I had problem with them about my landline number getting lost due to their misadministration.

i called them to renew and they said best they can do is phone broadband and tv for £4.50 a month plus line rental over £16 i said no and call them again after seen this post and told them about EE they said they credit my account with £48 to match EE value line rental and £2.25 a month for evening and weekend calls unlimited broadband and tv which is good enough as i make lots of international calls and have their international boost

That's good news, seems from the replies to this post it's been hit and miss for some others. You have to be persistent I guess.

Thank you, I've just saved £98 thanks to this post. They agreed to match the EE value line rental & also credit my account with £50 because I mentioned EE topcashback. I started the call saying I wanted to leave TalkTalk because EE were much cheaper. The lady was determined to beat EE. I didn't mention that I can't get the EE deal in my area!
