"A great budget speaker - whether on the end of a micro system or budget separates". What Hi-Fi Sound and Vision magazine.

"The F1 Custom speakers are brought to you by loudspeaker masters, Tannoy. With a front ported cabinet they're easy to place yet efficient enough to be run with lower powered amplifiers, including micro systems. This build quality follows through to the sound, which is detailed, natural and a match for more expensive rivals.

For a top quality, compact speaker that will suit a wide variety of components, the Tannoy Custom F1 comes highly recommended."

Hot deal. Excellent speakers for the money. Can't be beaten for the money.

If I don't like them I'll sell them on Ebay, if I like them I'll buy a 2nd pair...

what amp would be best suited for this under £150?
#5
NAD C325BEE or Cambridge Audio Azur 340A SE would be a good match.
I'd go for the NAD myself.

Richer Sounds might offer a price match + £5 on these... ;-)

Price/performance can't be matched. Good choice for anyone looking to improve the sound of a budget/mediocre mini system.

A great deal for some decent speakers. HOT HOT HOT

I've still got my Mercury M2s from many years back, they've barely changed their designs at all :)

Yeah, sorry . I meant the NAD C315 which is about £160. The 325 is about £230.
Anyway, got my speakers today and am very happy with them. In the flesh (MDF?) they are quite a bit darker than the pic suggests.
