Only for tomrorow RS deal of the Day....but a good one......

For a better class of centre speaker at a competition-busting price, check out the Tannoy Mercury FC Custom.

With its dense wood construction and MDF baffle this Tannoy centre speaker is far more solid than most. The drive units are of high quality and have been designed to give an accurate mid-range - exactly what you need in a centre speaker.

Yet it's what you can't see that makes the Mercury FC Custom such a well engineered speaker. The upgraded crossover components feature polypropylene capacitors and silver-plated Van den Hul speaker cable for low energy loss and superb detail.

Although designed to match the other Tannoy Custom speakers, the Mercury FC works well in variety of home cinema systems and is the perfect upgrade from a basic centre speaker.

At this price the Tannoy Mercury FC Custom is quite simply a centre of excellence!

Same here, but RS's colour for centre doesn't match the front ones I bought. Just had the matching colour centre (dark oak) delivered from Peter Tyson's eBay outlet for £55+ del (after making offers). Only two are left if you're interested.

Just got mine. Thanks, konimitsu.

Can anybody recommend a good place to get the matching front l/r speakers?

would this be a good upgrade for the centre in my budget setup? The Samsung HW-C560S

As usual - can't get through to local RS store. Have followed Titanium's lead and bought a dark oak centre from Peter Tyson's eBay outlet. Got my offer of £52 + del @ £4.99 accepted. Saves 40mile round trip and prob no stock at my RS anyway!

Now have the Tannoy F3 customers as fronts, and my new centre on the way.

Will look out for some Tannoy rears on offer next to replace my older "Revolvers". Probably won't bother with sub woof as enough bass already and don't want to annoy neighbours when I repeatedly watch Star Trek in lovely Dolby Digital..

Ahhh - my lovely Onkyo SR 607 belts it out!8)

Yes I would say so, Nearly all the speech comes out of them when watching something in Dolby Digital or DTS so they are important.

It doesn't look like it will match tho

I grabbed mines from RS Edinburgh branch at around 12:30 today, there was 1 left after I left, just a headsup for any other Edinburgers, go snap up the last one if it hasn't been already :)

Edit - What's the name of the matching rears please? Is it the F1's?

Im just about to head over there after work!

This will be the start of my new setup. Do they have the F4's in the same colour?

No idea I've had my F4's for a couple of years, best of luck!
