You can have WD 500GB drive for tenner less and if WD isn't good enough, then Seagate Freeagent 500GB can be had for 99p less (and with 5 years warranty).

This is a NDAS(Network Direct Attached Storage) drive though..
It has a ethernet port on it so you can connect it directly to your router and use it on your home network.

im not going to vote cold nor warm simply because there is 500gb ones for cheaper BUT as you said this is an NDAS one so that does kinda even it out. Its a shame lidl havent done better tbh, £50 should be what they selling it for as they are normally very cheap(when they sell a special item)

i cant see any other reason other than this being a network drive!!! as it has a ethernet cable with it.

Sorry it was difficult to see that this one is NDAS. Still I'd recommend proper NAS rather than NDAS.

i thought this was a good price, but clearly not. i'm looking for an external hard drive, any tips on where to look for the best priced ones would be appreciated.:oops:
