Saw this Targus Laptop bag in my local ASDA today, Hull Mount pleasant down the sale isle.

Been looking for a new bag as my old Targus bag has been battered after 2 years use from travelling.

Hope this is good for someone else, Cheapest on-line I can find is about £21.

Got this bag from Amazon for much more, really good investment.

Been a year, not really showing any sign of wear. Lots of compartments, fits my netbook sideways so it's really comfortable (i.e., so the top half is free for my graphics tab or something), tons of space, and a nice mobile compartment that blocks signal (not that I use it often). Overall very sturdy, and well made.

Jayshah - could you comment on how waterproof it is?

My current targus is used to commute on my motorbike so gets a regular soaking. It's been great for the last couple of years but as you can imagine has had a rough life and is due for replacement. This could fit the bill nicely if it can keep the contents dry.

nationwide anyone else checked?

Just picked one up at the Clydebank store - 3 left on the shelf.

Just got one from Crown Point Asda in Leeds. Not many left though. Thanks OP.

Got one this afternoon from Maidstone Asda Living (about 20 left).

Very good for the money. Good sized and and extra (removable) padded sleeve inside the main rucksack to put your laptop in.

Regards waterproofness, seems good overall on the outside, with the extra padded sleeve inside will keep the laptop dry for some time I would think.

Amazon link for same Rucksack (£21.49)

Honestly the best bag ever for your laptop and gets pretty spacious, I've had this since 2007 and its still going perfectly fine. Came with secure laptop case inside which I've dropped my laptop in and it protected it, also has straps inside to hold that case against the bag. I'm able to fit books and spare clothes (jeans/belt and a shirt) with the cables and laptop in it. Completely recommended and for that price I'm thinking of getting a second one now just in case... better not, my one is still looking fine.

I nabbed one of these in Tesco about 3 years ago for a similar price, GunMental's comments are spot on, it's a terrific laptop bag, and a bargain at this price.

Guys, is this still on for sale in Asda? Does it fit a 16" laptop?
#16
Mali, I got one on the 6th in Pentwyn, Cardiff. Label on front says - fits 15.4" - 16" laptops, it's a cracking bag for a tenner.
