It is this price all year round, worth the money though we have one.

sorry, I thought it was 100 and something, that's why I shared. It's a good deal, if you ask me, in 2 days out you get your monies back and this time they give you a gift worth 4 quid....

It says £79.99 on site, how do you get it at £29.99 all year round?

If you visit their website most of the time they will offer a free 1 month trial (sometimes 3 month)
Once you're on their mailing list they'll send you 'special offers' (£29.99/year)
If you do some searching you'll see that many companies offer this special rate - you'd be blind and/or dim to pay full price

Great card, but as stated, this is the normal price

Three points.

1) Make sure you cancel it, if you don't want it next year. Its a rolling yearly debit, that they don't refund.
2) A lot of the places refuse to take it over December (festive period),
3) Lastly, a lot of places where the card states you get 2 for 1, normally has special deals on that day any way (lunch time buy one get one free meals, starter main course for £9.99, ect)

Ultimately, for my own circumstances, they are not worth it anymore. But each to their own.

Too many exceptions to this card - no Fridays, no Saturdays, not in this month .... Unless you dine out every week, it is not worth it. I only go to Prezzo, and I usually manage to get code from Prezzo itself, so I don't bother.

If you use it twice you will save at least £29.99 from your bills. I had one last year and it was never refused and saved me loads of money

You can usually get these cards for free, they always put up free months for promotional offers, have had about total 6/9 months worth of free taste card, but never got into the habit of using them :/

I've found there's a few places near us that aren't anywhere near as friendly if you're there with a taste card, almost like they resent you eating there for discount, which can be annoying because they shouldn't sign up to the scheme if they don't want to discount meals! The big chains however are usually fine. We use ours a fair bit in Pizza Express and it pays for itself easily and then some. The app is pretty good, but my advice is to always phone ahead and check if the restaurant still accepts the card and if you need to book. A local gastro pub were really childish about it once, we got there, it was empty, they said we had to book or they wouldn't accept it so we booked a table for 10 minutes time! They weren't impressed.

Was £19.99 last year around Christmas. Basically, you have to sign up for a trial, they send you a trial, then when it expires they keep lowering the price (from £79 to £59 to £39, this year it's new at £29, and I'm still holding out for £19 as in previous years)

Ok, so my helpful answer would be- yes they can and will save you money BUT there are many restrictions that you should be mindful of. The golden rule should be phone ahead and ask the restaurant what their terms are concerning the card before going there, as these wont necessarily be clear on the website etc.

-you usually have to book ahead, less busy places will let you off but thats the general rule
-not on fridays/saturdays
-usuall (almost always) food only, not drinks
-might be 2 for 1, might be 50% - this can have a big impact despite sounding the same
-often only works per couple, so if there are 6 of you with one card between you, and its 2 for 1, youll only get 1 meal free.. etc.
-usually have to present the card at the start, before ordering (youll probably get let off, but theyll have to recalculate the whole bill and its just awkward)

so in summary, phone ahead and be clear on the terms of that particular restaurant.

I had one last year . When ever I tried using it , the restaurant says we have told tastecard to take it off there website but tastecard does not do that .
So really it's the tastecard fault .
I have complaint to tastecard but no help from them at all

Depends where you live. I'm in manchester and there's plenty of options for more than 2 people, including fridays and Saturdays, plus there are small number of December use eateries. It's a great idea. Again-depends where you live.

I keep meaning to unsubscribe from their mailing list as the 29.99 emails are getting annoying especially around this time of year when it seems constant! I cancelled mine as very rarely used it and when I did I was with a friend who also had a card! It is a good deal but like others have said there's to many restrictions.
