Can't see another deal posted (I missed the Father's Day offer) but if anyone knows of a better deal would be good to hear about it

You want us to actually pay for one of these?! They are always on a free offer somewhere! Lol

I'm not selling them but was going to buy one, can only find a free 30 day trial. Where did you get a free annual one?

May also need some thermal pants for the chill factor I will be getting from this post.

If you have an RBS Silver Select current account you get Tastecard free now (just an FYI that might help someone). Handy as I have just finished a 30 day free trial given to all employees at my company. The poster above is right, you seem to be able to get a free one anywhere these days, they can't give them away fast enough it seems!

You can get a free 60 day trial still, apply here.

I had one of these which are pretty useless unless you live near a city but those few restaurants that did subscribe to it either went bankrupt, were not very good or would choose themselves as to when they would accept it or would impose ridiculous added conditions i.e. No bank holidays or weekends, not during peak holiday periods, not on kids meals etc, etc

Thanks, will try this instead and see how much use it gets

Always had a taste card until they stopped accepting them at pizza express canary wharf!

These are the biggest piles of poo going - can only be used at off peak times and the pub/restaurants own deals at these times are usually better to drum up business

Amazed at the cold rating Tastecard gets. Ok so in smaller towns it may not be too good but in London, Edinburgh and other large cities it is superb. I don't agree that restaurant deals are usually better. Take Pizza Express, for example. All the offers they used to do were usually buy a main course and get one free. Taste card makes it BOGOF on all courses.

I have been to some superb restaurants using Tastecard. Most don't accept the card on a Friday or Saturday but some do. I'm ok with that. I am happy to go off peak due to the savings.

I think £30 a year is a good price for the savings I get but I wouldn't pay more as there is always an offer on.

Taste card have right for everyone but for those who can make use of it, it's a steal at £30. If you go out as a group, in can pay for itself in one sitting. It's a shame its getting mostly cold votes as it is hot for those who can benefit. I used to use mine loads until I had kids which meant very little eating out.

I bought one for £30 from work and it paid for itself after a couple of uses. Makes you end up in places you wouldn't ordinarily go and have loved it each time.

Cheers for the positive comments at the end, sadly it didn't save me turning into pingu :0)

Ha, don't worry about it. I tried telling people about a FREE 2 MONTH card last month (here).....never again (hence direct link in my reply earlier in this thread!).

I don't eat out....as I'm such a fabulous cook....this, however, looks a bargain for people who like to dine out with friends or during a relationship break-up.

I got one on the two month trial and have used it three times already. No problems at all. A lovely meal in Amaretto in Bournemouth, Trouville Hotel, Bournemouth and WalnutTree Shades in Norwich. Three fantastic meals for half price. (_;)
