Waitrose does have good deals on some of the time, I sometimes pop in. Heat added, I think there's a 50p off coupon floating about for Mc Cain potato wedges too. You will find it in some recent threads for the product. Might not be valid against this deal though, who knows...

This is pants.... I can get chips/wedges £1.20, Chicago pizzas always reduced to near a £1-1.50 and decent icecream I can get for less than £2... Pop into ASDA if you think this is amazing deal. I never vote cold but I have to out of principle this time.

Branded products are obviously ok from Asda, but their own brand food is extremely poor. Waitrose is well worth the extra.

Chicago Town Takeaway for £1-£1.50? Where do you live? I always buy these from ASDA and they are around £3 every time

Voted hot.

Most of their own brand food is perfectly fine - though I try and avoid junk food so don't eat much of their pizzas/ready meals etc. The fresh Extra Special Mozzarella pizza they have for £2 at the moment is probably the best shop bought pizza I've ever had before though.

Chicago Town pizzas are almost always on special offer, BOGOF etc. Do a search on here and you'll a deal for their edge to edge for £1.29 just two weeks ago.

This is a fair deal for £5 but never normally a tenner - even at Waitrose.

You know Chicago town make many different pizzas?
So the "takeaway" pizza in this deal, is the largest they make.

Why pay extra for the packaging? Most own brand foods from supermarkets come from the same warehouse so a Waitrose own brand pizza is probably identical to an Asda own brand pizza, just in a different box.

Not quite got the hang of this snobbery business, have you sweetie? Here's a handy hint - real food snobs don't scour the internet for deals on McCain Potato Wedges, and Chigago Town Pizzas.

SPOT ON ! WaitRose = best UK supermarket imho. Quality and variety. And if folks think they're snobby and too expensive then check out their Tesco price match and 'essentials' range ( which is wayyyy better than other supermarkets' own brands ) and...you can't beat the service there either - the staff there personally take you to product(s) and bend over backwards thereafter. Well worth it.

you obviously know soooo little...maybe tesco / sainsburys / morrisons etc have same suppliers / diff boxes etc....did u know Waitrose have their own farm for dairy products etc - Leckford Estate I believe it's called that supply NO other as well as the best / most ethical meat production practices in the industry ? Also every branch sources, stocks and supports local producers.

Please do your research before commenting / slagging off

I agree there's a place for Asda / Tesco et al...and there's a place for Waitrose / M&S...and when the latter have deals and peeps post then let's embrace and enjoy rather than getting into a snob debate.

Just like bike deals on this site and cyclists and their comments - every time !

That may be the case with dairy produce but do you really think a supermarket pizza is lovingly hand crafted by the finest chefs using only free range cheese, tomato and salami that they've grown themselves? And I'm sure that Waitrose have more than one supplier - probably hundreds.

This is a fast food deal, identical to those found in other leading supermarkets. Neither hot nor cold just.....meh!

So perhaps you should do YOUR research rather than using this site for petty pointscoring!
