About Taylors Eye Witness
Taylors Eye Witness was founded in Sheffield by John Taylor in 1838. Many of today's products are made in the historic Eye Witness Works in the middle of Sheffield. Sheffield is of course the home of Stainless Steel and since the thirteenth century has been a centre of craftsmanship in the cutler's arts.
Today Taylors Eye Witness remains a family business producing high quality, well designed kitchen knives, scissors, cutlery, pocket knives and kitchen tools and gadgets.
All products have the same theme Function and Form. All do the job they are supposed to as well or better than any competing product. In recent years Taylors Eye Witness has invested heavily in design and in 2006 won two major European Design Awards for their IF4000 range of knives (iF Gold from the International Forum in Hanover and Design Plus from Ambiente in Frankfurt). The Chantry Modern Knife Sharpener won a Design Plus award in 2005. Taylors commitment to design and product quality runs through all their products.
