bargain, love this tea

These actually look like the proper bags and not the one cup type. So that equates to £2.50 for 240 which is the normal largest box and the cheapest I've seen that recently is £4 in Asda.

So bargain!

Yorkshire tea massive 1.5kg bag £5.00
Are the smaller 1.5kg bags cheaper?
#4
I think the offer is supposed to be 240 bags (1.5kg) for £7.98 until 04 Sept 2016, so £5 is a real bargain. Heat.

I hate this tea (I drink Earl Grey) but for those who like a builder's brew this is great value. You can stand your spoon up in it!

Can anyone confirm these are the normal Yorkshire Tea bags, and not the [much] weaker tasting (imo!) 'one cup' bags? Going to Moggies tomorrow, will whack them on my list if they are!

Last time I was in Morrisons they were the One Cup variety. Costco for the full strength ones.

Hurray! Were they on the normal tea aisle, or on a random promo end somewhere?

I'll be getting these. I've just finished my stock of PGTips. These used to be good but the quality has definitely gone down and I'm looking for a different brand. Yorkshire seems to be the one to try.
#19
Definitely normal tea bags not the one cups! Thanks op voted hot! They were in the entrance part of our local morrisons btw

If you work as I in the (Yorkshire) tea industry you would know that both the 'normal' and 'one cup' bags are exactly the same. #Psychological #allinthehead

Yes, its the same tea leaf mixture, but (somewhat obviously) there's far less tea in each bag, meaning if you like it strong you have to stew it longer which ruins the flavour or you have to put two of the one-cup bags in a mug.

Where in Yorkshire does it grow?

So just googling around I found that the YT 1.5kg one cup sack contain 600 tea bags compared to 480 with this. Therefore a one cup bag weighs 2.5g compared to 3.125g for a normal bag. These manufacturers who know people will end up using two, one cup bags are quids in!

Nice find OP. Morrison have improved over recent months putting special offers at the store entrance. One minor niggle cannot find a re-cycling symbol on the plastic bag (even with glasses).

Those days are long gone. At this price, it'll be the utterly wimpy "one cup" variety - two for a mug, and still weak.

I went to Yorkshire after PGTips became utter ****; loved it. Now they're **** than PG

Time to go to Aldi for a decent brew. - and a half-decent price.

The great Yorkshire Tea Estates are second only to those of the Indian Sub-Continent in reputation. One of the worries about "Brexit means Brexit" is the effect that may have on the itinerant labour force that has traditionally picked the leaves on those famous terraces.

Just bought 9 pack as its a years supply for me.£45.bbe. late 2017.Leek ,staffordshire .Plenty left.

Potentially 960 bags (or 3KG) if you re-use each tea bag once. :)
