TBS Dual DVB-S2 PCI-e Freesat Tuner Card - £74.99 fulfilled by amazon
Looking for the cheapest way to get a dual DVB-S2 card now that the BBC has decided to make BBC HD and BBC One HD DVB-S2 only and C4HD was also released on this format. This was the cheapest I could find and reviews well.

Frequently Asked Questions
How can I use this product to receive Freesat?
The service makes use of the same fleet of satellites as satellite service Sky Digital: Astra and Eurobird 1. This means that any satellite dish which has been used to receive this service will be capable of receiving Freesat, with the addition of this receiver.

I ordered these, and what actually turns up is the TBS 6981 card - I have 3 (6 tuners) in my HTPC running Mediaportal and they are spot on..
Dare I ask what you need 6 tuners for?

Well, I run 3 clients at the moment, plus the main single seat server - still overkill though (I bought them cos they were cheap!)
Not sure, I don't have the IR plugged in - I use a Harmony One with Mediaportal.

thx for reply. i have a dual card DVB-S atm. ordered the TBS. i have 2 cable feeds what would the quality be like using a splitter on my present card and using a single feed for the TBS, are these splitters any good? and do you have 6 cable feeds?? lol

Yes, I have 6 feeds.. I have an octo LNB on my dish - you can't really use a splitter, unless you make sure that both channels on a single feed are on the same polarity..
