What is 3G Modem Sharing?

Edit: Does this mean this router is compatible with tethering from my Three iPhone?

It means you can insert a compatible 3G Broadband Dongle into the USB port and share the 3G broadband in the event that your ADSL service goes down. It only works with a rather limited range of 3G USB dongles. It doesn't mean you can share your tethering from iphone.

USB also allows print sharing and USB thumb drive sharing - obviously only one at a time as there's only 1 USB port.

I've had this modem for a year and a half and it's been very good, faster sync with the exchange, slightly faster speeds than my Netgear and Thomson modems and wireless is at least as good as those if not slightly better range (once you turn the 'auto' channel feature which always chooses the most congested wifi channel!)

I had this router and I don't rate it personally. I paid £39 from CCL a few months ago and range for me was poor along with it dropping connection every few days.

I tried everything incase it was channel or frequency congestion. But nothing sorted.

It's odd because a few reviews on Amazon say the same thing, a lot of people have great results but a minority have a lot of trouble. I wonder if it's due to poor quality control and some duff units are out in the wild or whether they've tweaked the settings a little too much and on some ADSL it's less stable.

For me I've had very little problem at all, had to reboot once every few months but that's it really.

Think this was £17 from Argos the other day...

I doubt it was 17, and not an adsl version.
