no more hunting for these games.
#2
Shouldn't it be about £20 for a HD tune up? It's hardly a new game so they should charge a budget price for this kind of release. Not voting hot or cold because it may be the price (not checked) but it's not a good deal in my opinion. Great games but not a great price is all.
#3
I would have expected this like the God Of War games to have been around £20. This collection is a while off yet though, lets hope the RRP changes.
#4
have both in original format with fancy ass packaging and postcards but still tempted by this. hard to describe how emotional and involving both these games are despite neither having more than a few lines of dialogue (original was by far better though SoC has some amazing scenes, very little replay value though).

definitely a must-own for both fans and people who haven't experienced the series but as stated i'm sure it'll drop to the £20 mark pretty fast (like god of war 1/2 HD) especially when details of last guardian are announced

not too fair comparing it to GoW HD remake as as any fan of these games can tell you getting hold of either ICO game for the ps2 is a nightmare - look on ebay and you'll be very lucky to get either under a tenner and you can guarantee no store or site will have stock.

ahh im gutted i bought the ps2 ltd edition versions as i didnt think theyd actually get round to making these.... gna have to try flog em now...

after all the reviews i read i thought they were must haves... i was let down by ICO though, it was just pretty boring tbh.. though ive always hated games where you have a useless partner to look after, like resident evil 5 was awful imo! 4 was soo much better.. but thats just me, shadow of the colossuss is kinda good ill be putting mine on the bay and expecting about 40 for the pair just to give u an idea of old values

Both brilliant games - I have both boxed editions for PS2 :-( great shame PS3 wont play them - for that reason I wont be buying duplicate games.

:) You mean YOUR PS3 wont play them.

I think i may have to look at replacing my two originals, even though i havent played them recently. They're just too good to not have im my collection.

Yep kick in the nuts who paid over the odds for the originals (I sold a copy of ICO for £80 on eBay a few years back) I think I will wait until they hit £17.99 as the God of War collection did (Very quickly).

They are indeed two of the finest games ever made period!

why is ico so well reviewed? its quite visually nice but all u do is climb a few things, chop sum shadows with a stick and have to look after a lady... im getting real critical of games recently and didnt actually play it till a few months back for the first time btw, was it ahead of its time when it first came out but i missed playing it early enough?

*sigh* Now they're everyone's favourite games...
#11
Ico is my favourite game of all time. Less is more!
#12
Ico is one of the greatest games ever made. Shadow of the Colossus whilst a very decent game made me feel almost sorry for killing some of the monsters. Both of them together are easily worth this price though.
#13
I bought a secondhand copy of ICO for the PS2 ... after hearing and reading that it was the greatest game of all time.

Well, it may be for geeks .... to me it was death by boredom .... nowt happened - the first Tomb Raider - now, THAT was maybe the best game of all time!

But, reading this, I am guessing my copy of ICO for PS2 is worth something? I was going to chuck it into the Charity Shop with all my other PS2 games .....
#14
I'm delighted this is coming out, will save me from having to buy a PS2 to play them. Hopefully this will go down further though to "God of war collection" price range. I wouldn't expect this to sell as many copies as that though as it won't appeal to the teenage "yoofs", so who knows it may crash down even further.
#15
Expensive price will be £22 when its released, cold.
#16
Use the Walkers Vouchers to get 10% off lol

http://www.walkers.co.uk/RainyDay/home/RainyDaySavings.aspx

so that would be - £25.13!

"made me feel almost sorry for killing some of the monsters"

You were supposed too.
#18
Woah, there is a while to go, before this is released. D:
#19
This is just below RRP. It's ages until release so I'd hold off. I expect it to be around the £20 mark at most places around the release date. £17.99 isn't impossible to predict seeing as the GOW collection retailed and still retails at that price. Excellent games mind you, still own them on the PS2.

Will buy the HD remakes regardless of price...but still expect them to be at £17.99 closer to release ;)

Wow...looks like I need to chance find in charity shops more often than the 99.9% of the time I don't go in them!

Would be amazing finding some PS1 or PS2 rare gems like that.
#21
People should be voting on what the price is now, not what they think it should be or is going to be. If you cant find anything cheaper right now then this is a hot deal!

27 notes for this is a steal, 2 of the most definitive games in gaming history and its been improved for the PS3.
#23
'Remakes' is that what they call it nowadays?

*sigh* Now they're everyone's favourite games...
Indeed Dave. Once they were a cult following that everyone misunderstood but were held high in true gamer's eyes. Now they are quickly becoming the next Modern Warfare... Although I suppose it's a congratulations deserved to Team Ico for finally getting the world wide recognition they always deserved.

The game is 9 years old now... so yes, just a little late! It's still really good though. It's all about the atmosphere and the puzzles.

It's worth about £20 and it'll keep falling. Maybe I should have sold it years ago.
#26
Overrated toss if you ask me but good price for a new(ish) games.
#27
wont vote cold but it says the rrp is £30 on thehut, so its just a £2 saving.

+ i have no problems playing ps1 + ps2 discs on a ps3?
#28
These are the only 2 games that I haven't played from my PS2 days!!!

Only a couple models of ps3 can play ps2 games. Both games are for the ps2.

Ahhhh... Shadow of the Colossus...
I am going to buy a PS3 just to play this in HD...
I never even knew about this version, so heat for the info.
(the deal means nothing, I would have paid double...)

This is a beautiful game. I even cried. How often does a game make you do that? I would buy this if I had a PS3. Boo.
#32
Absolutely loved Ico, never played Shadow of Colossus. Could be tempted.

2 of the best PS2 games on 1 blu-ray disc, running at 30fps, in HD and 3D with trophies?
I'd say it's well worth £30. This isn't the same as the God of War Collection. GOW's awesome but not "Team ICO" awesome. These 2 games are like at least £20 each. This is a good deal
