Nonsense, rear facing car seats are something like 90% (whatever that percentage means) safer in a crash compared to forward facing, hence why my kids are going to ride rear facing for as long as possible. Although it was very hard to get hold of the seats at least I know the kids will be much better off than if they were forward facing.

Anyhow there is a huge difference in the quality and safety of child car seats, all cars for sale have to pass "safety" checks but I know i'd rather have a crash in a big safe car with multiple air-bags and a high euro ncap safety rating and not a small tin can that meets the minimum legislation, what about you?

Also I Must Ask Why Do You Capitalise The First Letter Of Every Word? It's Really Annoying When Trying To Read It! :-D

It wont break the bank so who cares if it breaks there necks! Good news too, you can use it from 9 months to 11 yrs, AND then refit the straps and use it again for another child!!!!!!!!!! This seat is sooooooooo good that if you buy it today (2009) a (lucky) child born in 2020 may get to use it until 2030/2031.
Wow you get all that for under £40.
Sorry to be sarcastic but for goodness sake do people really put their kids in these?

churchill my 3 yr old has one of the Evolva 123's It is a fantastic car seat. The 5 point harness can be used until 6 and weighs 18kg, however I was a bit disappointed at my daughter hospital appt age 3 that she weighed 17.6kg!!! And she's quite average size. So realistically for her she wont be in it at 6... My 5 year old, is too tall for the harnesses, she is very slight, and only on the 25th centile for height, and yet she weighs 19.5kg (because the school nurse weighed her!)
I also have an Eclipse which is very good, but find the Evolva sturdier and the headrest more supportive.

Great price. I always get angry at the ridiculous prices these things sell for. Parent's are left to feel that the dearest ones must be the best ones & I don't think they are.

You are right some expensive ones arnt very good, but you generally do get what you pay for, its a childs life thats at risk at the end of the day , what price do you put on that.

Yes it's a great price, but it's not a great car seat. It would be a great price for a Britax Evolva, but it's not for a hard uncomfortable lump of plastic that would not support or protect your child adequately in an impact.
If you dont care about safety, you can get an identical seat to this a lot cheaper.
For example http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3754494/Trail/searchtext%3ECARSEAT.htm
The difference is that at Argos they dont pretend it was £99. And theirs is £34.99
So it means that this one is not even a partiucularly 'good' deal
