Great price. But since being told by a few people who work/have worked for Tesco how awful their budget makes are I tend to steer away. There are often good deals on other better-known cheap makes which are more trusted.

Not voting either way.

p.s. the link just takes you to the main Tesco page.

From your original description it looks as if you are saying it has HD freeview which is different to the standard freeview most TVs have

I would muchg rather pay an extra £49 for this http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/lg-m237wd-23-lcd-tv-monitor-full-hd-with-freeview-3-year-warranty-free-delivery/934925, or £10 less if you go by the online prices.

Extra 1", FULL HD, Decent brand, much better looking and 3 year warrenty. As well as ability to be used as a monitor or a TV.

Extra 1", FULL HD (pointless on a screen this size unless used as a monitor), Decent brand (er, no but they are m,iles better than this thread), much better looking and 3 year warrenty. As well as ability to be used as a monitor or a TV.

What about the DVD player or iPod dock? while at the same time the LG is over 50% more expensive. It's also pretty obvious you can use these with a PC too. Personally I would get a decent TV (ie not an LG and not TV with a TN panel either), but these are great for a kitchen or kids bedroom etc.

My old man has one which I got for him when Tesco had the Ipodless version for £84, and it's ok as both a TV and PC monitor.

I paid £190 about a couple of years ago, and has been fine, but the remote has just packed in, and I don't think a universal remote will work all of the functions like the ipod dock.
I might try tesco customer services to try and buy a replacement.
