Hi all, first post and all that so be nice :p
I spotted these after work in Stroud Tesco (which is tiny btw).
I don't really need any speakers but for under six quid thought they were a steal, considering the basic Tesco Value 2.0 speakers are a fiver. (full price online)

edit: hmm I have a larger shot and a receipt pic but seems the ImageShack links wont work?

The cider was a rip-off. £10 at Sainsburys :whistling:
Anyone know if these are basic speakers for a PC or to attach to your DVD player home cinema?

PC. They'll have a 3.5mm jack.
how do they handle bass at higher volume?

Was that the last one at that price, or did they have more?

I want to have one as well
Price seems to be £14.97 online now - do you know if it is different instore, and is that nationwide?
Good spot Cpt_howdy, welcome to HUKD :)
i have got the earlier mentioned argos version and they are great, i have them plugged into my tv/dvd combi in the bedroom, great for listening to cd or the radio on freeview
These are amazing- got them for free with my laptop. Sound is great quality, and I usually plug it into my laptop to watch DVDs/listen to music. Can also plug in my iPod I guess for the ultimate listening experience.

Don't hesitate if you find them!
I`ve also got this set, they are never on as the sound is dull and even though i am no expert they sound grainy if anyone can grasp what i mean, i would throw them out if i could be bothered to unwrap all the wires.

Edit: stuff it they are coming out now.

still hot for cheapo speakers.
are they mains powered?
are they mains powered?

Yes they are.
just been to my local at newton aycliffe and they scan at £14.91
In Bridgend they scan at £14.97
Been to Tesco @ Hindley and @ Wigan and they are £14.97 at each.
Was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the 2.1 technika system I got a couple of years ago - a nice sound off it, easily good enough for listening to CDs. So I should imagine this will be good as well - and a fiver! HHHot.
Hi all,
I was back in Tesco today and they had another set on display at the cheap price.
HOWEVER, they also had a 2.1 Technika set priced at £14.99 in the computer isle. On (brief) inspection the higher priced speakers were in a smaller box and didn't seem to have the separate volume control but could be mistaken

Anywho, hope you chaps and chapesses manage to grab a set :)
Still 15 quid in our store , wasted journey
checked at aycliffe store again and tesco sell 3 different types of technika 2.1 speaker sets. yes they have them at the £5.61 price but not at all stores sell them. aycliffe dont have any cheap ones
£14.97 in our store this am :(
Speakers a bit bigger:

Its probably just a clearance item then... as the box looks a bit tatty on the top! :whistling:
