Seems a good price to me. HOT

The HD advertising always makes me laugh - especially on a screen with SD Freeview and DVD player built-in - surely it would be better to tell us just how brilliantly the screen handles standard definition images :p

This is a tricky one 'cos on the face of it, it seems quite a good deal.

Yet the expression "wouldn't touch it with a bargepole" keeps springing to mind too.:?

I bought one of these when it was £199. Use it for my xbox 360 and the picture is pretty good.
Even better I ordered 2.30pm on a sunday and it arrived the next morning before midday!
Seems like a great price.

Good tv for the price. Got one for the bedroom. Unlocked it to region free & didn't realise until I tried it but it's also DIVX compatible.

Good buy..and the 'Technika' brand is actually pretty good...IMO!

Hi there
I found two hacks.
Try these

Any one need a hack for the Tesco's Technika LCD22 108?
On the remote press the small DVD button to the left of the cursor buttons, (just under the channel – button).
Then press 9735 and the set up page will appear indicating the machine is set to region 2. Move the cursor to 0 for multi region playback and select, exit set up menu, enjoy your films!

Or

it seems I have the LCD22-208, for which that hack didn't work. However, the following works: Press 'Source', go to DVD. Make sure there's no disk in the drive. Press 9 7 3 5, then select Region 0 from the menu, et voila!

Although not a bad deal i think for the same money or a bit more you can get a far superior picture . in fact i have seen a couple of these and IMO they are not great.

I got one of these last time i posted it for the bedroom. Good picture, nice sound. Plus plays DIVX.

Only one downside to this box is that when it is on standby their is a nice blue light bottom right corner which is very bright, i just covered it with some black tape. Dont cover the smaller one as that is for the remote sensor. Other than that its

We bought one. Dreadful pic. Went back. Bought another. Dreadful pic. Never again.
Ended up with a 1080p 22" LG Freeview TV/Monitor (£206 from Amazon) and a seperate DVD player (£15 secondhand). Night and day to the Technika model.

just for those interested, Technika is rebranded 'Tesco's Value' electronics. They changed the name to improve sales a while back.
