I like the one with the dvd better which is £165. Good pictures on it though for cheap tv

last time the one with the dvd player was on here was for £165 my tesco didn't stock that one and only had this for £165, still a very good telly for the bedroom but was a little disappointed with the sound quality, I know not to expect much in terms of sound quality from an lcd but I hoped for more with the speakers in the base and advertising ipod playback. Got around that though by hooking up my old 2.1 speakers from my desktop pc through the headphone port.
Heat added great tv for gamming. Despite this being only HD Ready, when I hook this up to my ps3 it automatically switches to 1080p at 60hz for the menu and any game that supports it. So is it that these tvs use a generic screen technology which also supports full HD or is just the ps3 assuming it can accept full HD? any help appreciated.
