Jump to unread Post a CommentI have to say its a good deal, the TV image is very dark on default settings and it took some time to get a picture that was bright and still sharp with out ghosting and whites not too blueish.
It would be nice to see what other people have as settings, here's mine for 1080p/i from hdmi off a Humax HD T2 box
Mode "Natural"
Contrast "60"
Brightness "43"
Sharpness "13"
Colour "29*"
Power Save "off
Backlight "Maximum"
Noise reduction "Low"
Advance setting, Colour Temp "Warm", HDMI True Black "On", Colour Shift "Center"
It seems you have to have contrast set very high 55-60, or it looks dull, maximum is 63.
usually I like a darker image, after 10 minutes your eye gets used to it and the image looks more life like
but that technique don't suit this tv.
Tried several times to get this, rang and spoke to various people, even went in store and they rang up to try to get me one.Various excuses given but no tv still.Even tried to get the instore one for the price on line.
Would like one but not convinced that it wont get cancelled and leave( 3 x tv)£215 waiting to come back to my account...dont actually trust that tesco can provide this item unfortunately...may try ringing....again
Yes it has VESA 75 - surprised its not 100 for a TV of that size so make sure you get a compatible bracket

Rubbish..
I got the UMC one last week, and am using it as a monitor, it's superb as a monitor. Bought a dvi - hdmi lead for £2 odd and on 1920 x1080 resolution picture is as good as my other 22 inch monitors.
