Technika 26" HD Ready LCD TV - £179.00 in-store only @ Tesco
This is my first deal posting and I apologise if I don't have all of the facts, but it seems like a cracking price for a 26" LCD TV. I was in my local Tesco (Aylesbury) today and they had their Technika 26" LCD TV on sale for just over £179 -- originally £249, then reduced to £239, and now to this price. I don't recall the model number but it is probably this one (LCD26-209) and not the more expensive model LCD26-M3. I have included a link to the Tesco Direct product which is shown at £239.97.
Pricing label was their standard yellow sale label so I assume it's not just a "one store only" deal.
I'm a bit dubious of Technika compared to name-brand TVs as I think it is Tesco's cheap-and-cheerful own brand but I'm sure I'll be corrected by plenty of happy Technika TV owners. At this price it's hard to turn down such a deal if you're in the market for a TV for the bedroom or gaming!

Perhaps because its an instore deal as it says in the title?
I'm surprised no-one has complained that it's not full HD yet

Ive still got the little b&w Mitsubishi portable I got in 1978 as an xmas pressie, use it with an old Nokia freeview box to keep an eye on SSN or BBC News 24 when Im working in my office. Perfectly adequate for the job intended, and has given me over 30 years solid service.

I don't have this one but got one of the sainburys 26" ones posted on here recently.
They are not heavy and will easily stand ok on a set of draws. Mine's stood on a MFI chipboard set of draws so pine draws will easily handle it
