not a bad price but there are voucher codes to bring the price down. not sure which code(s) will make this deal as good as it could possibly be.

Tecnika tvs seem to be fine for the price. I bought a 22" led tv for the bedroom - picture quality is fantastic but the sound is tinny but tolerable (easily fixed with a nice home cinema system!). Also the menu screen is difficult to read as its grey but this may be different on other models or larger tvs.

My brother has one of these TV's. Good picture quality and if you look in the vents in the back all the components have Samsung stickers on them. So you r basically buying a Samsung.

Bargain. Let us know what the input lag is like if you're using it for gaming too.

This price certainly brings large screen LCD entertainment into the price bracket for a lot more people

    Fantastic price -

Dont vote this called just because its not Samsung or Panasonic!

    Its excellent value for money.......IMO

Will this be good for gaming on a ps3 or xbox 360??

I'm not going to vote but the reviews for the make suggest the image quality is really awful, making the whole "full HD" useless. There's no point in displaying the resolution if it can't display it properly.

This may be ok, but I doubt it and would recommend people hold back if they want a good set.

your implying that this tv is as good as any samsung which is completely incorrect.

there is a huge variance in quality even between different models of samsung tv's.

also samsung are one of the biggest panel manufacturers out there along with sony and panasonic, so no doubt most tv's use panels from samsung because they sell panels to everyone and use them in their own tv's too.

now there are many different types of panels they produce which are all different spec's and the panel needs good electronics behind it to drive the panels. therefore the exact same panel in 2 different tv's could produce a completely different picture in terms of quality.

this is most likely the cheapest panel samsung manufacturer of this size and most likely has rubbish electronics driving it.

for example the panasonic TX-P50VT50B, TX-P50GT50B and the TX-P50ST50B all use the exact same panel, yet the price difference between them is huge, £1700, £1400 and £1100 respectively. This is because of the electronics driving each of those panels is different as well as filters, etc.

i have a PS51D8000 and this tv even though it may use samsung parts, will be terrible in terms of PQ when both of them are compared side by side.

to learn more about tv's head over to AVforums

if i only had £300 to spend on a tv, i would go second hand and buy a 2-3 year old 46 inch panny plasma instead, but i must say for a brand new tv this is a great price but at the cost of quality which is what i look for in a tv, as i will be keeping it for a long time.

I wouldn't assume this model has a samsung panel. Nowadays there are a lot more actual chinese manufacturers on the market producing low cost panels. The use of a very low end panel may be how they managed to get the price so competitive. Its a huge tv for that money especially if you can discount it further.
