found a load of these very basic mp3 players at the Chester City centre strore for the princely sum of £1. They are very basic though with just a forward/reverse/play button set up, the f/r buttons doubling up as volume. Runs off a AAA battery supplied. Not sure if these in any other stores. Great for kids or just to use as a memory stick. Not sure how to stick a pic on of it, but its just an mp3 player, nothing special.

Thanks for your post :)

Please be careful when creating and adding new merchants, we already had Tesco in our merchants list. I have now merged these, thanks.

My first MP3 Player from sony came with a 64 mb card! This would have been future technology back then lol

I remember when I paid about £25 for this spec and people thought I was so high tech!

Lol, my first MP3 player was a Rio job with a 32mb memory. Low bitrate music ftw!

If I remember correctly these were really cheap because they have a 2.5mm headphone jack rather than the standard 3.5mm, so you have to get an adapter or use the headphones included. I may be wrong though. Hot anyway.

Yup 2.5mm jack, got one for my mum ages ago, bit fiddly to use. But can't go wrong for £1

I love the fact this brings back old memories :)

not sure about the jack being 2.5mm, I plugged my Creative headphones into to check the sound, which is fine, and they are the standard 3.5mm. I have tried to use the player in my Clio, plugged into the cars audio socket and it never worked, not sure why. For a quid you cant go wrong :-D

Doesn't it make you sick when you see this, then look at the price of other memory cards / chips and compare these to the prices that Apple charge for increased storage?

Similarly don't buy Sony cameras or you'll be stuck with expensive MemoryStick rather than cheap SD/SDHC. xD in Olympus an issue too.
