Includes a 320GB hard drive with 2 USB ports that let you export and store programmes on an external hard drive
I think it's a dud.

Can't record from remote source - only the internal free view HD tuner.
Really pleased with mine - particularly the iplayer functionality and ability to view and export SD recordings over your local network.
I think it's a dud.
Hope this may help you.... I had issues ( they're tuned to Welsh stations as they're refurbished in Swansea). Mine was going nowhere until I did this... Go To:
MENU .> PREFERENCES > TUNING -IN > .
It then tells you to Press the >> button to auto tune, which
DOES NOT work, it just sends you back one step . Instead, I
pressed OK on the handset, and it tuned everything in within 2 minutes.

No. You can only record from its own tuner

Same here I had a message coming up as bad signal which I couldn't understand as I could get a signal with the previous freeview box, fumbled through the menu options until I found the tuning in option and bingo all up and running once stations found.
Also Scapels try a different set of batteries in the remote as someone on one of the other threads mentioned that theirs had come with duff batteries once they were replaced all was well.

Specs look great tho
See the AVForums for more info .
http://www.avforums.com/forums/pvrs-vcrs/1529696-fetch-tv-hd-pvr-tesco-04-06-2010-part-seven-17.html
(this is part 7 .. there are 6 other parts )
There are some bits that are bit clunky and that do with some tweaking ( I am used to the Topfield PVR boxes - and they are very highly configurable / mod-able). £50 for twin tuner / 320GB PVR and media player that you can pair with another unit via local net / WiFi you cant go far wrong imo.
Edited By: rok263 on Sep 07, 2012 09:08: tidy up / clarify some points.
However, i am probably being really stupid but how (or is it even possible) do i use the remote to control volume on my samsung tv. The volume button currently does nothing so i have to use 2 remotes. On my old freeview recorder i was able to pair the remote so it controlled the tv.
Any advice welcome
Thanks

Mine didn't look like it was a refurb, completely new and sealed inside.
My guess is that Tesco had a stack of these unsold and which couldn't be sold in its current packaging given the demise of Fetch TV and, along with it, the Sky service.
