If these are the same ones that have been on offer before - BRSS10 (though only down to £49 previously) then *for the money* this would be a good buy especially as they can be made multi-region for both bluray and dvd playback.

Here's the hack... with thanks to Spyro @ AVForums

Switch on
open tray
press "set-up" on remote
enter 9113

An additional configure menu will come up on the left hand side of the screen that allows you to change the dvd region to any or region free. Below that it lets you set the Bluray region to A, B or C.

these players are really good, they load the films up instantly (unlike most big name players) they are really small compared to others, they are a no brainer really.
I thouroughly recommend it

That might swing it for me, though I've never seen anything deal on here in my local Tesco.

The Daily Mail Tomorrow has a £5 off a £40 spend so you could use the voucher and get the Blu-ray player and get £5 worth of stuff for 55p cost of the newspaper.

But don't read the mail otherwise you'll start believing everything causes and warns off cancer lol

Well happy days. If everything causes and warns it off at the same time then no more cancer!

I can confirm this. Purchased one 3 or 4 weeks ago. It's pretty decent.

this the multi region one?
#17
I bought one of these about 6 months ago now it was ok to start with, but all it do now is freeze the player when you stick it on pause, it will not play ntfs drives only pal .

The plus side is it can be made multi region for blu ray and dvd .

I only payed £40 for it then .

This pages says

http://www.lovefilm.com/on-your-tv/

that you can use a Sony Blue-ray disc player to stream movies from lovefilm directly to your tv. Does anybody know if you could use this Technika players for that too?

cheers
#26
No this Technika can't do the streaming video from Lovefilm or any of the other online features that the Sony and other brands can do via an internet connection.

"NTFS (New Technology File System) is the standard file system of Windows NT, including its later versions Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista, and Windows 7."

He means, I assume, drives formatted with NTFS instead of FAT32.

So what BR profile is this player compliant to?
Or the model number?
