I've been looking for a soundbar for a while now and have found this great one at Tesco. Here are features and reasons I think it's a great deal:

- 70W of total power is really good for under £50,
- Built in subwoofer for improved bass rather than just two drivers either side.
- Bluetooth connectivity too for connecting mobile devices or your tv if it is fancy.
-USB connection to play music from a USB memory stick
- Has AUX, COAX and Optical connections however it doesn't come with an optical cable.

Good deal.

Usually you get the cable with it, even when I purchased a system in Richer Sounds they said theres no cable inside (probably so I would have to spend more money with them) but there was one inside.

It seems you can pick one up for a few pounds. Here is a 2m cable I found on eBay for £2.49 delivered but you can shop around depending on the length etc. of what you need. :)

I currently have an amp with 4 tall boy and 1 front speaker wired in but I couldnt plug my sub in as my amp has a connection where the sub needs to be plugged in but my sub only has the wires for u to clip in so I am currently running my amp with surround sound but no sub. if I purchased this would it sound right with my current set up I.e. sound bar with sub connected to amp and amp running with 4 surround sound speakers? thanks

Had two of these, both from Tesco. Returned them both as they switched off after 15 minutes of inactivity.

That's no so bad, I hear you say. Except that the devices couldn't detect when they were in use, leaving us with a sudden and unexpected/unwanted silence. Tested in store and proven to be defective.

Use an aux cable and plug it into your tv's headphone jack

I'm assuming your amp has a subwoofer pre-out so you would need to plug a powered/active subwoofer in. You would need to spend around £50 to a £100 to get one of those.

This wouldn't be suitable, this is a "replacement" for your speakers and amplifier and connects either to the TV optical out or directly to a satellite/freeview box.

Can you not HDMI into one of your infamous Onkyo receivers? ;)

If you have not got a AV Receiver then you really do need to look at the back of your tv and assertain whether the digital out is either optical or coaxial and get a lead dependent on that.

Most soundbars (including this one) have both optical and coaxial inputs and you use whichever corresponds. Like with HDMI cables there is no need to spend mega bucks on such leads.

Is there any way to reduce the volume of the voice prompt on the Technika TKSB215-70?
I find it is overpowering but am happy with the system generally...
