Pointless, DAB will be phased out pretty soon to make way for DAB+, which is why a lot of DAB radios are being sold off cheap.

plus, DAB is AWFUL quality, worse than FM.

Waste of money IMO.

DAB will NOT be phased out for several years, if at all - ultimately wifi radio is the future but either way this is a DAB clock radio for £15, quit your moaning. Great find.

Most alarm clock radios aren't exactly Hi-fi quality either.

DAB is perfectly adequate for something like an alarm clock radio or a portable radio playing in the office/background/whatever but I don't think i'd want it on a decent hi-fi setup

Does this Alarm clock support dual alarm?
#20
Just checked mine and it has 2 alarms. Really pleased with it :thumbsup:

Can you wake to DAB?

some sim cards give you free delivery, so select one that gives you a total price over £20 so that you can use the voucher £5 off £20 spend then return sim for a refund :thumbsup:

Been looking for a DAB clock radio, and these are over £20 even on Fleabay. At a tenner with the exploits this is a cracker :)

Needed an item from there anyway -- at a reasonable price.

So, with triple points...

£12 delivered for the radio, £3 in point-deals back, free delivery, 20p back on CC *and* a possible 36p back on Quidco. It's not so much the amount, it's the fact that I've screwed Tesco over about three times in succession here, hehehe.

Now, how much can I get back on the SIM card.....

I have one reception is amazing.

Bought at 19 a few months ago. Had gone up last week to 29 now 15 a bargain.

I have a 100 Itempo Cd DAB clock radio and the Technika finds far more stations.

The good thing is near my computer the Itempo cant find any signal the Technika suffers no problems.

Even has twin alarms, and finds many London stations where I live which is quite rare. My dedicated Sony tuner cant do that.
Also note the power supply is separate and unlike many BUSH clock radios I have taken back to argos there is no transformer hum to annoy whilst you are trying to sleep.

A very good buy at this price 4/5.
My dislikes.
* Menu system takes a little getting use to
* Need to turn on radio to set alarm or clock.
* Display can be hard to read , viewing angle not great and the backlight a little bright.

My likes.
* Tuning
* sensitivity
* Ease of use ( after initial reading of manual)
* Quiet no noise power supply
* silent in use ( apart from when radio is on)
* Informative display

Hope this helps tempted to snap one up for office.
Cant find my voucher for points with electrical s purchase.

I know it's asking a bit much at this price - but does anyone know if it has a sleep function?

No, no sleep function (turns off after x mins if you put it on at bedtime, yeah?)

I have one and it is very good - reception is great even through the little wire aerial.
Only thing is, poster above said 'backlight a little bright' :-D It lights up the room! I have to sleep facing away from it, you can't angle it away as it is so bright it still brightens up that side of the bed.

Apart from that (I'm getting used to it) a brilliant little box, restored my faith in DAB.

voted hot, thank you :)

Absolutely rubbish as an alarm clock. No sleep function so you cant just doze off with it on in the evening and also when the radio is on it DOES NOT display the time. Bloody ridiculous. :x

What SIM do I need to get free delivery? Got an order code?

I bought one 2 weeks ago when these were half price down to £14.97, now this appears to be there retail selling price.

I have just taken it back, as it was a rather ill conceived alarm clock.

Firstly the blue backlight (nice at first) is so bright, it feels like you are living by blackpool illuminations, and no there is no function to turn the lighting down or off.

Secondly when the radio function is used there is no time displayed, so if you are getting ready in the morning listening to the radio you have no idea how much time you have (never enough in my case)

Lastly given that DAB is patchy at best outside major conurbations the wire arial is insuffiant to find and then hold onto a good signal.

All of course IMO!

Just bought this today and for under £15 a bargain.
Not only that, this the first DAB that has worked at home!
