Yep good for young uns - although one review did mention that the picture preview/playback mode was fiddly to get to and the lens being close to the edge could get covered by little fingers. For anyone else there are a few comments about over-exposure in bright light and poor low-light shooting - from my experience with budget brands (like tevion) you get much better value for money going for a cheap Canon or similar - may be £25 more expensive but worth it.

or for £5 more you could get a refurb one from kodak... saw a post about it on here last night. They start at around £30 and come with a 6 month warranty and from what I can remember they were all over 6MP

Not bad if you want a disposable camera for festivals etc...

Great price for a starter camera but digital zoom is sh*t!! optical zoom all the way!! digital zoom just blurs things. what a waste to not put optical zoom on a 7MP camera! unless you're only ever taking pictures of things right next to you it's not worth getting!

Just about good enough for kids. Probably more robust than more expensive models.. but voting cold on the basis that for an extra fiver a refurbed Kodak can be had.

Bought one of these, but took it to my local store for a refund. Looks and feels like a cheap camera, which fair play, it is at this price. But better cameras for just a few more £'ss out there.

thanks anyway

Theres a Praktica one Currys are shifting for a tenner, http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/419580/praktica-dpix-520g-digital-camera-5/showthread.php?p=5521959#post5521959, slightly lower spec but I bought two for my 2 and 4 year olds and they went down a storm (for about 5 minutes).

I think this one gets caught between two stools a bit - the Canon at http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/421037/canon-powershot-a460-digital-camera/ is a mile better for an extra tenner whereas if you are doing something for toddlers you might as well go even lower.

At original price a real joke and comments on here an insult to kiddies!

Several proper cameras have been on here for not a lot more.

Worth £10-£15 I reckon.

I'm assuming you say that because you believe the camera is rubbish (not good enough for them) and not because you think every 5 year-old should have a Nikon D40 for their birthday

But it clearly doesn't - there ought to be laws against retailers giving false information on products :p Seriously - it's constanty frustrating that retailers can never be bothered to check their product details.
