So you have bought and used this camera?? Well this post is for anyone who is not a camera snob - £35 for a rechargeable digital camera is a bargain. It might not have every feature of the more expensive cameras but the picture quality is fine.

You don't have to be a camera snob not to like this, the fact is ANYONE who buys this will be disapointed with it.

You could pick up a second hand 2MP fuji or Sony for less and it will still produce far superior pictures than this thing.

Sorry maggie nothing to do with being a camera snob it's to do with not buying cr@@p and by the way £35 for a rechargeable digital camera with no optical zoom is not cheap you can buy cameras with an optical zoom for less than £50 now.

OMG! No wonder people are scared to post on this site! I searched to make sure this wasn't already posted, and could not find it, so where is this 7mp camera already posted? My daughter bought this 7mp months ago when it was on offer for £50 and the pics were fine, compared to my £350 Canon camera it was well worth the money and is rechargeable. It was stolen (so someone must like them:) and it's now on offer again for £35. Fair enough if you have bought it and used it and found it to be rubbish but from your posts it doesn't sound like you've been within a million miles of it. Bargain basic camera - should be voted HOT!

Lol, where are all the people who are afraid to post? waste your money on the camera dosent worry me I bow to your superior knowledge obviously as it's a 7 MP camera it's great! so far you have called me a "camera snob" and obviously " I dont know what I'm talking about" how about this for you "someone who likes to be right and cant stand it when she isnt" ring any bells?

Seems a good deal to me for the simple folk who just want to shoot and click.

Wow yeah, Hotukdeals is full of snobs and moralists lately.

There is no reason to slag this deal off - a simple "not the best camera - try and scrape together a bit more for something like this" would do.

£49.99 - optical zoom and rechargeable battery.

or look for something with lower megapixels but optical zoom.

Agreed, there's no reason to be nasty. I wouldn't buy this camera as I really don't think that the quality would be up to much, and for a bit more money you can get a MUCH better camera. I'm not going to vote cold, as I think it's cold enough already, and it IS cheap, but in my opinion it would have to be nearer £20 to be tempting.

I do disagree with MINCER's choice of alternative though (Sorry), I would always suggest trying to stick with one of the top established makes for buying a digital camera, not because I'm a snob, but because they are better. My choice would be this Canon Powershot A460 for £49.99 at Amazon.

If I really wanted to stick to the £35 price limit, I'd look for a refurb from Fuji
or the Canon Outlet on ebay - sorry can't link to it (Forum rules)

Its an OK camera to give to a child - reinforced by being more robust as it has not got an optical zoom that's more likely to take a pounding than one with.

picked this camera up end March for my 8 year olds birthday as I didn't want to spend over £40, but wanted a rechargeable battery.

This camera is exactly great for her, :)and has a video (although no sound), if she leaves it in a restaurant or somewhere its not the end of the world, I couldn't find anything to match this price, and posted this deal myself but for some reason it was removed, - probably got scared of all your negative verbal and expired itself!!! :whistling:
