Damp Microfibre cloth/Dry microfibre cloth is still a safer option on coated Plasma screen's

Maybe I'm just too cautious but anything like this wouldn't go near my plasma

how good are this on laptop screen?

i used baby wipes on my LCD tv & then used soft cloth to buf it up & it looked perfect. didnt work the same on some laptops though. maybe thats because it was a different make baby wife & it felt a bit more oily

I would steer clear of this. Lots of screens are covered with anti refective coating and id be concern that this could damage this - I know that a work in years gone by screen cleaners pretty much ruined the coatings on several CRTs.

i guess this probably was my problem on some laptops

Agreed, and Tesco do 3xmicrofibre cloths for 91p (which worked a treat on my iiyama monitor which requires cautious treatment as it has a special coating).

Ensure that any cleaning product for your TV contains no IPA (alcohol), which most glass cleaners do.
I use this A.M. DENMARK SCREEN CLEANER which works very well and is a water based gel; not cheap though

wouldnt use baby wipes; know it sounds daft but they will have chemicals in them which could affect the screen coatings

bargain price cheers

This is alcohol free - it won't damage your screen (that's kinda the point of the kit).

OK, so it's alcohol free.

Kit claims the spray is also chemical free...

So what's in it??? Water??

Sure.. you don't need anything else but water, and a microfibre cloth (3 for 91p at tesco)

Spend the money on everything free clean sprays.

The contents of the pack look identical to a product I bought from my local computer store (eclipse computers).
Good product. I have used it on all my monitors and several laptops. No damage. The spray leaves no residue and the cloth was of decent quality and caused no problems either. There is a little brush too to use prior to cleaning for making sure there is nothing on the screen (gritty) for you to scratch in while while cleaning

I did get a little cloth bag to keep it all in with mine though so i dont mind that i paid a couple of quid more.

Asda also do a very similar kit, think it was £5 each, or 2 for £8, so this seems to be a good price for a decent kit :)

I picked one of these up today and the solution is very good at cleaning finger marks from my plasma. On the bottle it says 'This cleaning fluid will not damage the screen coating' .

I also bought the accessorie agents cleaning pack which was also £2 as it contained a triangular cleaning pad which is excellent for getting into the corners.

Tesco also had gold plated HDMI cables for £5 down from £15. Basically my TV hasn't looked this good since I bought it two years ago.

So is water, if applied to a microfibre cloth.
