The MG5350 has a higher print resolution at 9600¹ x 2400 dpi compared to 4800¹ x 1200 dpi.
The good thing about this printer is that it supports ciss :)

Not saying this is not a good price for new but check Canon's ebay outlet, they had these £50 for a "refurb" beginning of month.

I got one of the refurbs from Canon's eBay outlet. £52.95 including delivery. Looked new to me, not a mark on it. Came with full ink cartridges as well.

So for me, this is a cold deal.

Yes but that is just luck, I got a new mg5350s also new and only paid around £43 for it, it just had a damaged box but there were others who were getting ones which had scratches etc.
Glad I didn't buy it in tha case :)

Canon MG5350 Pixma Inkjet All-In-One Airprint A4 Printer @ Amazon sold by Technology Heeks £79.99

It is the cheapest I can find. Currys do it at £99.99 and eBa has a similar price too. Anyone out there who may have one, would like to hear from you. It either this or an Epson I'm thing about b…

Printer also duplex prints and comes with a dvd holder that allows printing of white face discs. Have one and can only say how pleased I have been with it.
^^ also you can get a ciss for this and run it continuously without replacing ink cartridges for years :{
It should also be noted that the print resolution of the MG5550 is, at least in theory, vastly inferior to the MG5350:

MG 5550: Print Resolution......... Up to 4800¹ x 1200 dpi
5 Individual Ink Tanks (PGBK, BK, C, M, Y)
Inkjet FINE print head with.............. 2pl (min.) ink droplet size
ChromaLife100+ inks

MG 5350: Print Resolution........ Up to 9600¹ x 2400 dpi
5 Single Inks, 5-colour system with.........minimum 1pl droplet size, fine
print head & ChromaLife100+ system

On paper, the MG5350 specs are vastly superior all round to the MG5550.

Newer does not always mean better!
Currrys and PC world are currently doing the MG5350 for £85 inc delivery.

" The MG5550 is faster, better quality scanner and improved connectivity. So, for the extra £5, go for that."

That is incorrect information, it's actually the other way around: scanner resolution on the MG5350 is 2400 by 4800; on the MG 5550 it's 1200 by 2400.

I bought the MG5350 two weeks ago, having researched the MG5450, 5550, 6350, etc. Out of all the comparable price options, I decided it was the best Canon printer for me.....and I'm very pleased with the product.
Bought from them before. No original inks included. Replaced with remanufactured. Which is fine, if you know what you are getting. I didnt and felt a bit mugged.
