Watch/Record Digital TV on your computer or laptop. This is USB so you don't have to take your computer to bits. There is an ariel included in the pack but I have not tried it.

Not the sharpest of pictures but i'm going to try installing Windows MCE to see if I can improve it.

It is completely illegal to use these if the TV tax has not been paid for the property you live in.

However as they tried to avoid answering in a freedom of information request that eventially resulted in their admitting they had no equipment that could detect these - its entirely up to you to ensure the TV tax is paid.

Obviously I am not advocating not paying it - as it would be very naughty not to - even though it could not be detected.

So if they came to your house as you had no license and you had this device plugged in to a pc/laptop, what would be your reson for having it if not to receive tv signals?

you wouldn't let them in, they have no right of entry, and have to have pc plod and warrant present for entry.

basically tell them to bog off

You've got to install the drivers first through device manager and then the software will detect it. It does work on XP no problem. I'm just trying it with MCE edition now...

Its cheap but is it worth it? Also will it record from a signal taken off a Sat box? I guess if you come out of the aerial socket on one it should?
