I got one from TJ Hughes for £399 about a month ago

Pic quality is fine, use it mainly for xbox 360

I take it that this is a 720p TV?

edit: I think this is the one that was on-sale back before Christmas for about £400.00 from Woolworths. Currently £379.00 from Woolies + S/H

robovski , that's a different TV.
Its not HD and doesnt have a digital tuner.

Its probably a good budget tv, its obviously not going to be as good as the expensive tv's so its basically down to one choice.
Will you buy an LCD TV without seeing it first ?

I got a Sammy 32" last year, and even then, i went to the shop and checked it out before i bought it online.
There can be a lot of difference in LCD's and when spending a few hundred quid its too much of a risk for me if i cant see it.

And if you dont have Sky HD, an Xbox 360 or a PC connected to it.
You dont need an HD telly. The non-HD silver one would give you the better picture really.

from the specs it does look like a hd ready tv. its not 1080p capable. but if you ask me 1080p is just a waste of money at the moment. no television broadcast support 1080p and from the look of things none will support it for many years to come.
as for ps3 and xbox 360, they do support it but they are not powerfull enough to support this res with good graphic details. do only thing 1080p is good for is bluray and hddvd. but there future is not certain as well.
so for the moment 720p is your best option and this tv is very affordable one at that.

1080p doesn't matter on a 32". Far too small to notice any diference.

The TV in the deal is HD.
I was replying to robovski's comment on a similar tv, which wasnt, and has since been removed.
Just to clear up any confusion.

I've got this tv and it does 720p and 1080i. Looks fantastic on Xbox 360. Sound is okish and the picture from normal Sky is average. Aint tried Sky HD on it.

Does anyone know what the "full warranty" is? :lazy:

Does anyone know what this one is like from an SD source? I am looking to replace an old (trusty) Sony 15" in the bedroom at the moment and am looking for:
1. Physically compact to fit on a shelf (no 26" CRTs please !)
2. Widescreen
3. Freeview (preferred).
4. Accept DVD and tape input

This is bigger than I wanted but I would consider it for a wall mount *if* I can get decent SD. I tried the Samsung Slimfit ('nuff said) -- went straight back x2.

Plays the 360 at 1080i
