They had 160GB ones in Tesco Reading today for not a lot more

Surely for a tenner more this Daewoo one http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.204-6787.aspx is a better buy albeit without the freebie standard digibox as its 160gb drive?
#4
Buy the Daewoo 160 gb one and use code TDXR-DEXL for a tenner off.

Horses for courses I suppose. I don't need 160gig, and I'm looking for the most goods for the least spend, plus I could use the free box.

yeah was thinking that as I've got this badged up by digihome, identical design and spec. Bought mine maybe 2 or 3 years ago when I was renting and Sky wasn't an option. Have to say that it worked very well, no failed recordings, no freezing, simple but usable EPG and coped on a portable aerial. It's only been retired in my household as I've gone for Sky HD, which has had far more issues.:whistling:

I only paid £80ish back then so suprised it's still on sale and held its price. Recommended tho.

The goodmans one was in the boots online clearance a while back at around £60 however we had a sorry OOS email and as we had paid via paypal the payment authorisation expired, then all of a sudden it turned up so we got it free, best of all we originally complained about accepting order then not honouring so got a £10 gift card for free as compo, so we got the box and £10 gratis:thumbsup:

The Tesco deal sounds good if I have understood ------ I can receive digital on two different TVs, one with the Recorder and one with the STB. Yes?

BUT one of the TVs does not have Scart. So do either / both the Recorder and the STB have RTF sockets as well as Scart. So far I have not been able to find out.

They both have RF outputs, so you can user either with the non-scart TV

AFAIK, yes & no - the RF output is pass through only (i.e. to let analogue TV still have analogue signal). No digital TV picture is output on it.
