Review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1KQtxPhfbJo

From Techtablets' page here http://techtablets.com/2016/05/teclast-tbook-10-hands-first-impressions/

Teclast is now using a new dual boot selector with an Insyde bios
Supports a basic active stylus pen (More on this soon)
Dual speakers, on each side of the tablet for stereo separation.
The bezels are smaller than normal if compared to Teclast’s other tablets (Tbook 10 and X3 Pro)
The screen seems bright and possible the same panel as the HiBook and iWork10 Ultimate
Larger 2 to 2.5mm gap in the digitizer glass and IPS panel below.
Due to the smaller bezels, it’s smaller in size compared to other 10.1″ tablets.
The Android ROM is using a stock launcher and there are a few Chinese apps that can be uninstalled.
No full sized USB Port on the tablet is a shame. OTG adapter will have to be carried around at all times. (Keyboard will have full sized USB ports)

Edit: After watching the Youtube video, seems the keyboard (not supplied) has an inbuilt battery too.

Yep, I've mentioned it twice.

Decent anesthetics but does the real life performance provide evidence of specs?

No keyboard.... seems alot of money to spend on a random tablet from heartbeat.

Looks a good deal to me Louise, good specs. If you hadn't given enough info you would get moans about that too. Heat from me. :)

Looks really good in terms of specs and aesthetics however my main worry with all these gadgets sold directly from China is wether they're clean of any spyware.

Wish it came with keyboard shown in photo. Then it could work as 2in 1

Item description means nothing if customs decide to open the package. The value and subsequent import tax is then at the discretion of the customs officer, they'll determine the value and will bill you accordingly.

Still £139.98 when I look at it on a desktop PC - sometimes Email Only prices don't load properly on tablets or mobiles. (Wait a minute for the price to change).

As for Customs charges, I've read it's less likely to get a charge if you use the slowest delivery option, but of course nothing in this life is guaranteed.

I have a Teclast Windows 10 tablet and it was clean - did a system restore just to be on the safe side, installed a firewall and monitored - no issues.

Shipped from EU warehouse is the same price. I'm tempted. I'd wipe the Android partition and install some Linux flavour. Would it work?
#23
The EU price is £146.26 - China "Email Only" price is £139.98 :)

Doesn't system restore lose the play store? What firewall do you use?

Tell me about it! I have a Chinese tablet I just bought and it takes either USB C or a prong-style AC Adapter, but it has to be 12V, positive polarity, 2.5A/2500mA. Banggood sent me the wrong charger last week and I'm STILL trying to get a decent response out of them! Was all over town yesterday trying to find a powerful enough charger that fits.

My Linx 10 (which is sold in the UK, of course) takes a prong-style adapter too, so it's not just Chinese tablets (though the Linx is a clone of the Pipo W1 and others).

Thanks, was struggling to find the keyboard dock - even the TechTablets' reviewer said at the time of his review he found it hard to source. The fact it has an inbuilt battery is great - it's an idea more tablet manufacturers should adopt.

My experience exactly, but I have been condemned for saying that. GearBest put $20 on everything clearly hoping it gets through.

It's a Cube i7 Book adapter I'm looking for. The manufacturer told me to contact Banggood (yep, still waiting), I bought a USB C to USB 3.1 cable but my Power Bank is 5V (I realised later), so no good (this tablet charges by USB C or 12V AC).

Have a prong adapter that fits (in my random bucket of crap - full of cables and chargers!) - the charger light goes on but it only charges at 200mA, but leaving it overnight still left the battery dead :(

Was in Maplin yesterday, even went into mobile phone shops (as it charges by the newer phone charging connector, USB C), hardware stores - had no luck at all.

I managed to break my Linx 10 the other week :( even broke through the glass protector so the digitiser is gimped :( The Linx charger is a bit too thin for the Cube's AC input.

This is the Cube i7 Book adapter from the Cube website (obviously I want a UK one) http://www.cube-tablet.com/media/wysiwyg/Blog/Cube_i7_Book_20.jpg It would help to know even if Cube adapters were interchangeable for their different tablets, but Cube didn't answer my query :(

Edit 16 Aug: Banggood say "we have to contact the supplier" (sigh). Went for this, UK plug, hoping that this Cube i7/i9 adapter (the i9 is one of their most recent releases, before mine) will fit the AC input. Sick of waiting! http://www.aliexpress.com/item//32689241033.html

Re my lack of proper charger from Banggood (i7 Book) - they have emailed today saying "sorry we don't have a suitable charger in stock"!! and could I tell them where I could get an alternative, and how much!!

Now I was going to go on TechTablets' forum and update this - but they seem to have blocked my IP address for simply telling the truth! Nothing slanderous, spammy or troll-y. Just a frustrated customer who's made their first purchase seeking some help.

Incredibly heavy handed and a website I read quite regularly too! Astonished!

Edit: Seem to be un-blocked now. Not sure what's going on. Other friends could navigate the site when I was "blocked", not using a VPN or anything.

Ordered one of these with keyboard from gearbest just under 200 and picked standard delivery took 6 days no customs charges, as it was a present could not test but the reviews for this made this the one to purchase.

the keyboard has extra battery in, very good build quality overall will try testing in a week's time after the recipient has received it.
