s****y tablet. I bought one for myself, the screen quality is good, may be retina display, but not responsive enough. Most importantly half of the apps I use won't work there. NOW TV app doesn't work, similarly most video stream apps doesn't work. Youtube works. Very very slow, despite having a great CPU and 4GB RAM. Few annoying bits like no flash for the camera, so no flash light as well. All in all it's just lying as a brick serving nobody at my home.BTW I bought it for £156 about 4 months back from gearbest. Delivered in 3 weeks from China.

Somebody in marketing must have made a typo.

I've changed the pic to something else,so it doesn't cause any confusion.

You might get stung for import fees though.

The current Atom CPUs won't support it.

I have this. Would not recommend at £140 mainly due to poor wifi.

Poor WiFi seems to come up in reviews and comments. Would have went for this if it wasn't for that.

Not the same it is though?

2Gb ram on that one and no windows and that was only at a quick glance.

Nice spec, but do I really need another tablet? Or one that large? I have the Chuwi Hi8 Pro which is a lovely tablet at 8 inches.

Nearly ordered one a month ago but the reviews about wifi put me off, also no GPS is a big let down. Cube do an equivalent tablet don't know if it's much better tho.

"Max Memory Size: 2 GB"
Some other X5 CPUs support 8GB so maybe they've updated it!

Does anyone know if you can format and reinstall the Windows OS on this?

Could you use an OTG cable and plug in an additional wireless dongle?

Yes, but at that point wouldn't you just buy a different tablet?

I'm not saying it's not a stupid workaround, just inquiring whether it was possible. I do agree, I imagine having a shoddy WiFi card in the tablet would hinder it somewhat.

i thought the same thing. I have a largely unused USB wifi dongle so wouldn't cost me anything. but for those without, it is an added cost and inconvenience to portability

The only issue you'd have is with the android side then, but hey. It could be just sfsorrow's unit that had a fault. Shame i've already got a nice Windows and Android tablet, can't convince myself into this.

Bet it wouldn't be long before the port went wobbly if you did that every day

How is the WiFi performance on yours and where did you purchase it from. I ditched my order of this one due to negative WiFi performance reports.

Therefore Cold.

This would be the case for any product with a screen because there is a known acceptable number of dead pixels that can be found.

It's common practice.

I can't see why this should be a hot deals 'pic' with so many negative revues here and on the internet
Apparently can't even play youtube videos, bad wi-fi and no gps, what could be more annoying and useless

Can't play YouTube videos? Under Windows or Android? Or do you mean because of the poor wifi it struggles to play them? Poorer wifi tends to be an issue on cheaper Chinese tablets, but a lot of people can still use them adequately. This may be really bad wifi though, I haven't bought one and checked myself as I prefer the 8 inch tablet size I already have. As for no GPS, I am not aware of any Windows or dual boot tablet with built in GPS. Also, what would you use GPS for in a tablet this big? If it were a phone, I can see that, or perhaps a 7 inch or 8 inch tablet, those can be fitted behind a car dashboard, or with a mount in front but 9.7 inch as a satnav? Even so, under Windows you can use virtually any USB GPS dongle that costs less than a fiver. Android is another matter unfortunately.
