Ooooh I like it, great price!
We've had the branded version of this kettle for around 6yrs now and it's still going strong, quite compact too.
Only thing I will say is that it's a swine to clean and tarnishes easily - mine didn't stay looking shiny chrome or mark free for long no matter what I clean it with.
Looks suspiciously like a Breville...?

This is a 2.2kW kettle so will take longer to boil than a 3kW one. In my experience it will be less noisy though.

The statement about limescale deposits is rubbish - you'll not get a better tasting drink, just a less crunchy one...
ordered one,.many thanks...(_;)
Looks great. I'm really not a fan of metallic kettles though - they look nice but metal conducts heat, might be difficult to pour if it's full.

It won't make any difference - you don't hold the thin body of the kettle and that gets pretty much as hot whether it is metal or plastic. You could argue that you will feel less heat from a metal kettle because the shiny silver surface will radiate less - which will also mean that the water inside will stay hotter longer. I had a kettle similar to this and there's no problem with heat from the body. If anything's going to scald you it's steam from the spout.
This kettle looks almost identical to one I bought from Woolies just before it closed down - except that mine has two clear windows (one each side) to show water level whilst this Comet kettle appears to have one only at the rear.

My kettle was first used last November and, within a week, water was leaking from one window. I managed to prise it out, discarded the neoprene gasket and refitted it with plumber's silicone leak sealant, the window being taped in position overnight until the sealant was truly set. No more leaks from that side but now the other one is leaking so a further repair is necessary. You have been warned!
