Savastore have had it for a while at £469.99, obviously delivery would add on a few pounds. Good find though and seems to have had glowing reviews from people who own one.

Hi, Personally like the fact that Teco manufacture panels for Viewsonic and Sony. Guess that they (Teco) must manufacture good kit as Viewsonic and Sony have got a good name for themselves (not wanting to state the obvious). A little more expensive than a DGM panel that eBuyer had in stock about 2-weeks ago (just my luck to buy a faulty one that needed to go back for refund) however, whilst pleased with DGM LCD Monitors bought for system builds was not that pleased with the build quality nor the fact that the product was cosmetically damaged. eBuyer collected and refunded with no quibble though in fairness.

Get it a bit cheaper at Laptops direct for £449.97 plus maybe a further 2% off using Quidco.

Looks like its a conventional tuner, if it was freeview it would be a perfect buy.

Hi TELREA, That was a good price from svp.co.uk. They don't seem to have any in stock now though :-(. Customer service from cpc.co.uk is generally second to none from what I can gather. Not sure about laptopsdirect.co.uk besides Mirai do not manufacture panels for Viewsonic and Sony (as far as i'm aware) this is what attracted me personally to this product rather than let's say a DGM from either eBuyer.co.uk or Aria.co.uk.

247electrical.co.uk are selling this item for £460.20 however never bought from them so cannot comment on their customer service.

Guess that this must be a nice product if you'd decided to return a Sharp for replacing with one of these.

Nice product image can be found here:

Hi hotscot,

That's a great pic. Not bought anything from Techfever. What are their customer services like?.

Thank you :-).

Thanks to both the OP macNewbieinTraining and Phillip52 for the great price find.

I've bought one of these - finally convinced my dad he NEEDS one ;) - the price certainly was a key factor. Looks a good bit of kit with good reviews and make pedigree for a bargain basement price.

Cheers !

14 left now btw :)

Hi, Please note that i'd mentioned in the original post that Teco manufacture Panels for Viewsonic and Sony. Probably an oversight though.

Hi, indeed noted (previously) but what I was saying that this specific model uses a viewsonic lcd screen (as opposed to they make screens for x & y).

Hi, Apologies for misinterpreting. This is an exceptional buy IMHO considering how much more money a Viewsonic equivalent LCD Panel works out at. I'd bought a DGM and whilst I think that they make good LCD Monitors (have used several of these on system builds not for myself but for an SME) and they were very good value for money I wasn't as impressed with the sub-£500.00 LCD TV however am aware that many customers are more than happy with these products also. Each to their own I guess. Some will like the product some will not.

Had mine today, what great service and I will be setting it up in the morning... Thanks again lads for the heads up

Mine arrived this morning.
I am very impressed. I am using it now with my PC connected. It accepts many resolutions including 1360x768. It looks very good even at other lower resolutions ( and you can get the TV to display the picture in 4:3 or 16:9 , so you can use 1024x768 and get true pixel matching in 4:3 mode).

Standard defination picture quality is better than i expected from both my Freeview box and even the TV's inbuilt analogue tuner. DVDs look really clear and detailed too ( with DVD player connected by RGB scart).

This TV is stilll a bargain at Aria or savastore's price

Hi,

Does anyone know a geographical number for Teco warranty department as I've bought a d.o.a. unit and really do not like ringing 0870 numbers (particularly for customer service issues). Tried saynoto0870 but there's no alternative numbers there. Cannot find any details via Google search either.
Rang the 0870 number (reluctantly) and no one's answering the phones. A pre-recorded message just keeps on reitterating their hours of operation (they're closed at 4PM and they're meant to be open up until 5PM).

Don't think that the company name that was on the pre-recorded message was Brands Electronics who used to carry out warranty repair work on Viewsonic products otherwise I'd give them a ring.

Thank you.
