This one is cheaper than Hughe's as it is £9.99 for this particular pan.
Course we get excited at any bargain.

not being funny but if you think these pans are decent you should be doing 7 nights a week standup at the appollo. they are cheap feeling and ware so quickly and the spot is USELESS it fades dramatically.

cold

okay if your cooking a bit of bacon in it but if ur using these to cook food on a regular basis

These were (and might still be) £3.99 in home bargains 2 months ago.

They are great pans though, I have never managed to stick anything to them that didn't wash off after a light rinse...

The older ones were quite thin - dropped mine on the floor and it buckled like i'd hit it with a hammer.

The newer one I got from HB's though is about double the thickness and feels a lot stronger!

Right i'm off to the Apollo for a bit of stand-up :-D
#16
I dont think the spot in the middle ever worked on mine...still a good pan though.
#17
I can say that this is good value. Its being tried and tested by the wife over my head and it has stood the time. So she has asked me to order another one:-D:-D:-:w00t::p

Just moved house and needed to restock bargain and free postage!! Well happy!!!:-D

the tefal fades after some months of use or overburning. (Guess where it's gone - yes you've eaten it and it's very toxic). However at 7quid it's worth getting one and replace it in a while.
#20
i am using tefal set for two years and all of them look like new it has not faded.just one pan which is used mostly has darker base

Oh what rubbish! These are good quality frying pans. I've been using them for about ten years now, and am about to buy my fourth. I've had over two years regular use from each one. I don't bother about the spot thing, but the non stick coating is brilliant. They do not WEAR quickly, if you use the correct utensils on them and dont scrub them with a scourer. A bit of care and they last for ages. Best frying pans I've used, way better than any trendy looking shiny metal or copper ones or even the le creuset brute of a pan.

I've had mine for about 3 years, the non-stick coating has only just stopped being effective, the "Spot" was okay for a few months, but after a few uses, you get accustomed to how long your pan takes to heat up anyway.

I paid £10 a few years ago, and would pay the same again. It is easily the most used pan out of the 4/5 pans that I have.

We have Tefal's most expensive 28cm pan. I don't know what this model is like but we've had a 28 cm Tefal pan for a couple of years now it's superb and like new. In my experience Tefal are the only company that make pans that stay non-stick.

It's worth noting that 28 cm's is a very large pan and more like a hot plate. Make sure you have the space for it. We'd probably go slightly smaller next time.

Total crock of **** that comment , had one for about 5 years now and its still going strong where others have been and gone in the same time. Treat it properly ie not scraping it with metal tools or metal scourers and theres no reason at all the coating will come off or scratch.

there seems to be a snobbery when it comes to cooking implaments on this site which i dont understand. its not the greatest frying pan and i bet delia smith doesnt use it, but for £7 who cares? you wont get much better for the price.

heat added.
#28
hardly snobbery i probably cant afford better kitchen untensils and cookware but tend to opt for it because its better quality and lasts longer. You pay for exactly what you get. I dont take scourers to pans or mis use them i just believe in you get exactly what you pay for there are some bargains and there are some things that in the long run you should avoid.I "prefare" to use a decent stainless steel copper bottomed pan produces much more effective results, with better heat distribution they are alot sturdier and dont come with those cheap and nasty plastic handles. it also isnt covered in toxic coatings that blatantly do wear off and go in the food.
#29
In my view....if you want it - Buy it --I Have and got confirmation email - Voted HOT

Got one of these a few years ago in Woolies. So the spot doesn,t work, you shouls know when your bacon is burning. There big enough to do an Ulster fry, and of you can get a couple of years for £7 its a bargin. Vote frying hot

They are guaranteed for life, so I suspect that they are quite robust. :)
#32
for the sake of the thread according to tefal they offer a life gurantee on the non stick surface thats it not the pan handles etc.

My apologies.

The handle is only covered for a year.

All the pans bar one of mine(Not Tefal pans) have plastic handles.
The only problem handle I have in my kitchen is a wooden handle on my milk pan.

You pays your £7 you takes your choice I suppose.
It doesn't seem like anyone that owns one of these pans are unhappy with their purchase though.
#34
lol i wasnt having a go thesaint far from it, just being flamed on here thats all because i dont agree with the quality, not my cup of tea. Tefal in general are a really good company and they have been at the top of the tree kitchen wise for along long time.

Got this with OH at Debs last night. Got them with the extra 10% card holder at £6.30!
#36
If you are considering a frying pan, take a look at this crepe pan at only £10. We bought one in France and they are fantastic for bacon, eggs, pancakes - in fact much more versatile than a plain fry pan. http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10001_10001_64861_523463_-1

Im having so many problems with the debenhams website at the moment. I cant seem to remove items from the shopping basket, ive tried adjusting the quantity to 0 and selecting the remove button too, but none seem to do the trick. So i used my laptop again and carefully inputted all the details including my card details. Then when i submitted it i got a message saying 'sorry that you are experiencing difficulties in browsing this website, click continue to take u to the homepage'. So i clicked on back, re entered the details and clicked on submit. Same thing. So i got pissed of and closed the browser. They didnt even ask me for my email address during the ordering process Grrr. I better not get charged twice for it lol.
