Is this the one that has been having problems with catching light?
#2
Had my standard version for 2 years and haven't had any problems and the frying pans don't catch fire either.

Wonder what the reason is that this is so cold? A lot of places are still selling the standard sized Actifry for about this price, without the free gift, seems reasonable enough to me. Not heard of the Family version before.

I was wondering the same thing. Currys and Tescos are selling the standard version for £109, but this is bigger and you get the Tefal Frying Pans. Seems like a reasonable deal.

If people voting cold would like to share their reasons why, then we'd all benefit.

This should be getting hot as they do catch fire.

Now where's my lard filled chip pan?

This is a totally different version to the ones that catch fire, i would have thought they would have fixed the problem on these new design ones

I've just watched a video on You Tube and it takes 45 minutes to cook chips in one of these. I'd love to know if anyone knows what this would then cost per meal just to cook the chips?

The new Philips Air fryer looks impressive, chips in 12 mins , expensive at the minute tho

I couldn't wait 45 mins for chips !

People should remember to cut their spuds up 1st ;)

Wife reckons frozen chips take about 20 minutes. God knows the size of the chips that take 45.

@ deanos, thanks for the link. That looks like a smart product, but it's £50.00 more than this without the pans.

Yes it is expensive but worth keeping an eye on it , can stay £200 for long

I agree, prices will have to come down before people will contemplate buying.

It did remind me of a suppository for Darth Vader though :D

Thanks for bringing Philips Air Fryer to my attention as I have never heard of this before. It looks great but suffers from a capacity of only 800g. When cooking chips for four I use 1.5kg of spuds so have to wait their family size version.

my wife burnt her face off with one of these
